Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, I’m a single 55 yo Mum with a grown son (who still loves having his Mum around to look after him) and have just returned to Australia after 2 years sailing and travelling around Europe. I am a trained chef/caterer/nutritionist however I’d prefer not to go back into that stressful work life and am looking for a more balanced part time role where I can feel useful and keep busy! I was lucky enough to work with families in London, Munich and Montenegro where I got to hang out with the kids, prepare daily meals for the family (including making sue there were plenty of healthy snacks…..and treats!), food shopping, general organising and cleaning and basically picking up on what needed to be done to make everyone’s life easier. I have worked for an anti human trafficking NGO in Vietnam for 5 years, where our focus is rescuing children who are victims of trafficking and being able to support them back to school and reunited with their families. I have also worked with kids programmes at OzHarvest here and in London and love being able to interest children in sustainability, their environment and cooking! I have my current first aid qualifications up to date and am available immediately. Would love to hear from you and see if I can make a positive difference in your family’s life, V

I previously worked in accounts jobs in offices. However, when COVID 19 emerged I was having trouble getting work so I decided to study Childcare as I realize there is a need for childcare workers. I have worked at OAC Armadale as a permanent educator. However, now I am working in an office fulltime and looking at other options such as Casual work. I have 2 daughters aged 18 and 21. Whilst I was at OAC I tried to introduce children to fun learning experiences and always made sure they felt safe and secure inside and outside the room. I enjoyed making them feel safe and secure and introducing them to interesting learning activities.

I'm a 28 year old teacher who is, bright, bubbly, and vigilant. Besides being a teacher, I've worked as both a tutor, and run holiday programs working with groups of 1-30! Needless to say that looking after children is something I've done a lot of (5-6 days a week for the past few years!). I'm happy to provide parent references upon request of past babysitting/child minding :) Besides that, I have all of the qualifications that come with being a teacher including a working with children check, full vaccination status, a masters degree in teaching, full registration with Victoria Institute of Teaching, first aid training, anaphylaxis training, behaviour management, and so on. In terms of looking after children, it's hard to be more qualified! Being a teacher, my availability during the week throughout the school term can be spotty. Weekends, and school holidays though, I am very available! If you'd like to get to know me more, or have any questions; please don't hesitate to message me.
