I am currently working on a permanent and casual basis with South Yarra and local East Melbourne families, I enjoy setting up creative experiences for children based on their age and interest, having a passion for children's art. I am also able to provide domestic support if time allows. I have excellent references to support and have pleasurable relationships with long term families.thanks, Christine.
Hello! My name is Stephanie.
I am an Early Childhood Education student at Deakin University and am 22 years old. I currently live in a small apartment in the CBD with my husband and am experienced in cooking and homemaking.
I have extensive experience with young children, including: before/after school care (educator), babysitting, kid’s church (leader), school holiday camps (cabin leader), and placement from previous study of Nursing/Midwifery and Primary Education (both also at Deakin).
My greatest passion in life is being able to see children flourish and be cared for. As the middle child of eight siblings, I was exposed early to being responsible for those younger than me.
In the early years, I believe that children develop best through play-based learning. From my experience, I have realised the importance of fostering a strong sense of identity, well-being, communication skills, confidence, and connection and contribution to their world. Most of all, I ensure that the child feels loved and appreciated, and I sincerely understand that the parent is the most important figure in their child’s path in life; I am adept in respecting the parents’ way of care.
I have flexible availability, hold a current Working With Children Check and full drivers licence, and am willing to obtain a first aid certificate if necessary. I look forward to speaking with you and hope that I might be the right fit for your family.
I moved to Australia in 2020 from New Zealand, after working as a children's swimming teacher for 2 years. I am currently applying to study Masters of Primary Teaching at university. I have a degree in Theatre and Film from Victoria University of Wellington with papers in English and Education. I am confident in assisting with homework, housework and have a patient and calm attitude. I believe in being firm and fun to make sure everyone is happy and healthy.

My name is Olivia, or Liv! I am 23 years old and have recently decided to go back to studying to pursue my passion for sustainability. I will be starting a Graduate Certificate in Environment in July! I have been babysitting and nannying on and off since I was 14 and I absolutely love it. I started off babysitting for my neighbour's children and have since been a nanny for many families with children of all ages. I have looked after children from as young as 6 months to 14 years old, but I have the most experience with children between the ages of 2 - 9. I love to do arts and crafts activities with children at home, one of my favourites is origami! I also love getting the children involved in cooking. My mum used to let me help her in the kitchen, they are some of my favourite memories and have made me love food and cooking! When the weather allows it in Melbourne, I also love taking the children out and about to parks, libraries and cute cafes. Some favourites of past children I looked after are Bounce and the aquarium, both of which are a lot of fun! Fun Fact: I LOVE dogs so much that in 2020 I decided to raise a Seeing Eye Dog black lab puppy in 2020 called Lemmy who is in my photo!

Hello to all you lovely Families out there, my name is Alex. If I were to tell you a bit about myself I would describe myself as a gentle, loving, caring and creative person. I love to be around children, which I think was due to being the eldest in such a large family where I was very involved in raising and looking after all my little sisters and brothers. Education wise I have a bachelor in Division 1 Nursing where I specialized in Emergency/Critical Care Nursing. Whilst practicing as a nurse I was able to go back to university and start a 4-year Midwifery degree at ACU, though I have deferred for 2020/21 due to the obvious Covid 19 issues going on in the world at the moment. I have also studied an Infant/pediatric massage course intended for children with disabilities and mothers suffering postnatal depression that I completed through The Royal Women's Hospital in the hopes of one day being a maternal health nurse. Because of my Medical training I am educated, certified and am up to date in both adult and pediatric advanced life support, anaphylaxis training and have a current working with children’s check and police check. My start in childcare began whilst I was still at Uni studying my last year of my Nursing degree and for another 1 year after completing my nursing degree, I worked at the East Melbourne Child Care Co-Op Day Care Centre where I worked and rotated in all the rooms with children ranging from 5 months to 6 years old. And on two days of that week I worked one on one with special needs and disabled children to join the rest of the activities and children as much as was possible. And when my Nursing studies where completed I was asked if I would be willing to stay on and run my own class as the head career/teacher in the toddler’s room for another year. Through my time working in this role I was able to continue to learn and update my knowledge, skills and childhood development education by attending many professional education courses and programs run by The Lady Gowrie Learning Centre regarding various developmental topics on all ages of pre school children. And I have had the opportunity to have been working as a nanny for the last 5 years with various wonderful families in both long and short term positions and looking after multiple children from infants all the way to primary school age kids. I am also very happy to provide any documents or information you may like to see and provide referee documents and contacts.
Additional Fun Fact: Prior to starting my Nursing degree I lived in Vietnam and Thailand for 2 years teaching English to students aged 3 years to 18 years old in both one on one settings and in group classes and schools.
I am a warm, playful and nurturing person with multiple years of experience as a babysitter helping to raise my nieces and nephews.
I love kids, tennis, swimming, photography, cooking, animals, maths and sharing my knowledge. I am fluent in both Spanish and English, and happy to teach the basics of my mother tongue.
I possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, and an advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality.
