Hello to all you lovely Families out there, my name is Alex. If I were to tell you a bit about myself I would describe myself as a gentle, loving, caring and creative person. I love to be around children, which I think was due to being the eldest in such a large family where I was very involved in raising and looking after all my little sisters and brothers. Education wise I have a bachelor in Division 1 Nursing where I specialized in Emergency/Critical Care Nursing. Whilst practicing as a nurse I was able to go back to university and start a 4-year Midwifery degree at ACU, though I have deferred for 2020/21 due to the obvious Covid 19 issues going on in the world at the moment. I have also studied an Infant/pediatric massage course intended for children with disabilities and mothers suffering postnatal depression that I completed through The Royal Women's Hospital in the hopes of one day being a maternal health nurse. Because of my Medical training I am educated, certified and am up to date in both adult and pediatric advanced life support, anaphylaxis training and have a current working with children’s check and police check. My start in childcare began whilst I was still at Uni studying my last year of my Nursing degree and for another 1 year after completing my nursing degree, I worked at the East Melbourne Child Care Co-Op Day Care Centre where I worked and rotated in all the rooms with children ranging from 5 months to 6 years old. And on two days of that week I worked one on one with special needs and disabled children to join the rest of the activities and children as much as was possible. And when my Nursing studies where completed I was asked if I would be willing to stay on and run my own class as the head career/teacher in the toddler’s room for another year. Through my time working in this role I was able to continue to learn and update my knowledge, skills and childhood development education by attending many professional education courses and programs run by The Lady Gowrie Learning Centre regarding various developmental topics on all ages of pre school children. And I have had the opportunity to have been working as a nanny for the last 5 years with various wonderful families in both long and short term positions and looking after multiple children from infants all the way to primary school age kids. I am also very happy to provide any documents or information you may like to see and provide referee documents and contacts.
Additional Fun Fact: Prior to starting my Nursing degree I lived in Vietnam and Thailand for 2 years teaching English to students aged 3 years to 18 years old in both one on one settings and in group classes and schools.
I have over 10 years work experience in childcare / nanny industry. I Hold all updated first aid, CPR certificate, police check and working with childrens check.
Since working in this field I have developed a very good rapport with the children, and with their families and as well as the staff.
I love cooking and baking, I am very creative and I enjoy outdoors and love exploring in nature.
Hello, my name is Zuzana and I am 44 years old. I have over 25 years of child care experience gained in private homes, nursery schools, government schools, Childcare centres, Before and After School Clubs, playgroups and children’s home. I have worked with several families, with children aged from 12 weeks up to 14 years old. I worked as a nanny in London for 7 years for the same family. This helped me to gain experience with children from newborns up to 14 years old.
I gained NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Year Years and childcare in London. I then moved to the West Midlands where I worked for local government schools including a Special Needs School. While I was working at the Special Needs school I also studied with The Open University where I gained Level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice. (Diploma in Children's Services)
In 2008 my husband and I moved to Australia where I worked as part-time Teaching Assistant and Team Leader (Mon – Wed) for Before and After School care in a Catholic School where I have worked for the last 4 years.
Last 6 years I worked as nanny/tutor in Hong Kong.
I enjoy cycling, swimming, skiing, camping, yoga, craft, reading, gardening and travelling. In my spare time I love making handmade cards as well as inventing new recipes. Regards Zuzana Harris
Hello! I have about two years of professional experience as an educator and nanny. However, I began babysitting my cousins from the time they were new borns (5 years ago) until now. My hobbies include painting, sewing and ceramics. I have always been creative and I would love to apply these skill to create an imaginative, happy and secure environment for your children. At the beginning of 2019 I went independently to 9 countries. That was an amazing experience that taught me to be more confident, independent, responsible, organised and an effective problem solver. Because of this I believe I can be a calming and secure figure for your family and provide exceptional care for your little ones.
