Hello families, My name is Andrea Velardez, and I’m originally from Argentina. I speak both Spanish and
English fluently, and I am currently studying Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. After completing this course, I plan to continue my studies to obtain a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with children for the past three years, gaining experience in different countries and settings. I began my journey as an educator in a kindergarten in Argentina, where I developed a strong foundation in early childhood education. Later, I worked as an Au Pair in San Francisco, USA, where I cared for a newborn and a toddler at the same time for one year.
After moving to Australia a year and a half ago, I started working as a babysitter for various families through an agency. Currently, I am employed at a school in Pascoe Vale, Strathmore, where I work in the Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program. In addition, I provide in-home
care through an agency called VPM. I hold a First Aid and CPR certificate, a Working with Children Check, and a driver’s licence. I also own a car equipped with a child seat, and I feel very comfortable driving with children. I absolutely love animals — I have two cats of my own — and I enjoy working in environments where there are pets around. I have also worked as an educator in a childcare zone at a gym, where I supervised and engaged with children in a fun and safe environment. I am passionate about creating positive, nurturing, and educational experiences for children of all ages. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your family!
Warm regards,
Andrea Velardez
