Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I am a motivated and reliable individual with a strong passion for working with children and supporting their development in safe, engaging environments. Through my previous experiences, I have developed strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills. During my time volunteering as a water polo coach at St Andrews Anglican College (my high school), I worked weekly with primary school students, helping them build confidence and develop new skills. This role strengthened my patience, leadership and ability to support children as they learn and grow. I further developed these skills while working in the United Kingdom as an Activity Assistant and Camp Leader with PGL Travel for 7 months. In this role, I supervised and supported children aged 6–18 during outdoor education activities such as rock climbing and team games. I was responsible for ensuring their safety, guiding them through activities, organising free-time games and helping create a positive and supportive group environment. I spent every day caring for them. This experience confirmed my passion for working with children and taught me the importance of adaptability, responsibility and positive role modelling. I have also worked with a family for 4 months with an 8 month old infant and I hungout with her and did age appropriate activities and stayed with her while she was awake, assisted with household duties including folding laundry and cooking dinner, took the dog for a walk, and overall provided comfort and reliability to the family so they could do other things and not worry about the baby. I currently hold a valid Queensland Blue Card and bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s wellbeing and development.

Hi! My name is Lola, and I’m a first-year university student at QUT studying Business. I’m looking to get back into regular babysitting and would love the opportunity to help out a family while earning some extra money alongside my studies. I have experience babysitting my younger cousins regularly when they were around 4 and 6 years old, continuing until they were around 6 and 8, before they moved away about five years ago. I have also babysat casually for family and friends and really enjoyed being able to spend time with children and help out parents when needed. I’m a caring, patient and responsible person who genuinely enjoys being around children. I’m happy to get involved with activities, play games, help with homework, and keep children entertained rather than simply supervising them. I’m also comfortable helping with routines such as bath time, getting ready for bed and bedtime routines. I have a strong interest in cooking and have been cooking dinners for my family and baking since I was around 10 years old. I’d be more than happy to prepare simple breakfasts, lunches and dinners for your children, as well as help with tidying up after meals. I don’t currently hold a Blue Card, but I’m more than happy to apply for one if required. I’m also happy to provide references from families I have babysat for. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your family and become a reliable and trusted babysitter for your children. Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello, I'm Erin! I'm a 33-year-old artist, environmentalist, and childcare worker with four years' experience caring for children from newborn to 8 years, in Australia and the UK. I hold three Bachelor's degrees in nursing, health science (paramedics), and environmental management, and bring a calm, safety-conscious approach to childcare alongside genuine warmth and patience. My general approach is guided by the principles of the Danish Way of Parenting, including play, authenticity, reframing setbacks, empathy, no ultimatums, and togetherness. I put a strong focus on age-appropriate nature-based play and creative expression through music, movement, and art. I love helping kids and young people explore the world around them with curiosity and confidence. I'm also confident with younger babies, including feeding, changing, bathing, napping, burping, and giggling, and would gladly support parents wanting a few hours' break! I take the time to understand each child's natural strengths, interests, and sensory needs, and shape our time together around them. This approach works well for all children, including those with low support needs (ASD/ADHD/AuDHD), as it centres on what genuinely engages and motivates them.
