Hello! My name is a Sophie. I am 21 years old and a 3rd year psychology student. I am currently working for disability support work but love working with kids!

I have a large family with two younger brothers and lots of little cousins. I am usually the one left in charge of them and my extended family have asked for my help looking after their kids while they're busy (they're around 5-8 depending on the cousin). I have a planned course to go into primary education first through TAFE and QUT, but due to personal and family matters, I am getting some work experience first.

I am originally from Vanuatu and am currently on a bridging visa, married to an Australian Army member. I do not have children, but I have always been the aunt who regularly looked after my nieces. I am currently seeking community work; however, relocating here has made it challenging to secure employment. I go to the gym every day, and I am able to drive, although I need to transfer my licence for work purposes.

I have worked in childcare since I was 16 and have been assistant in a nursery, Early Childhood Teacher and a lead in the Toddler room. I love children and have made lasting relationships with them where I have been lucky enough to look after them in nursery and see them again in Kindergarten. I babysit for past families from daycare and have become regulars for them all as they trust me and love having me around. I have my first aid, Blue Card, A car seat for my own vehicle, and my Bachelor in early childhood education. I have taken a step away from childcare to refocus on study and take a new path for my future. I have worked with babies, toddlers and primary aged children in crèches 2014-2024. Parents and children would look forward to seeing me working in the creche. My manager at one creche had told me mums would phone to see if was working on the day they were coming in. I once was asked if I would relocate to be a live in nanny. Many times I was asked to babysit the children from the creche outside of creche hours and still do on occasions. Several times I filled in for my daughter’s nanny job as well while she attended uni commitments. I was given the responsibility to look after children overnight as well. I am 63 years young and despite the few wrinkles, young at heart and energetic. I have 2 daughters but not yet a grandmother. I love gardening, organising cupboards and quite enjoy craft activities. I am very reliable. I care for other children as I would my own, being a nanny is not just a job. I like to build relationships with the children and family. Children’s happiness and safety is the priority.

Hi! I am an apprentice currently studying my Cert 3 in ECEC. At the moment, I'm looking for a permanent position 4-5 full days per week for a wonderful family and their children (even fur-babies!). I am happy to do light housework as well as caring for kids. I have mostly worked with children 1-6 years old so they are the ages I am most comfortable with.
