Meet Anne Mette: A nanny, babysitter, and au pair in Brisbane, QLD

Hi!

I'm from Denmark and currently exploring Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. After years of working in healthcare, I'm excited to try something different, meet new people and experience everyday Australian life.

A little about me

Back home, I've worked as a registered nurse for over 9 years, mainly in acute healthcare.

While I haven't worked professionally as a nanny, I've occasionally looked after children in my family, which I've really enjoyed. I've also become increasingly interested in child development and family health, and I'm actually considering specialising in this area in the future.

I'd describe myself as calm, caring, reliable and easygoing. I enjoy spending time outdoors, learning new things and making people feel comfortable and cared for.

What I can offer

My nursing background has given me plenty of experience in taking responsibility, building trust, communicating with people of all ages and staying calm in unexpected situations. I'm very organised and structured.

I have the following sorted:

* Australian driver's licence (manual)

* First Aid & CPR certification

* National Police Clearance

* Working Holiday Visa

What I'm currently looking for

* a live-in nanny / au pair position

* around 2-3 months

* available from 1 November 2026

Ideally, I'd love to find a welcoming family where I can become part of everyday family life, help with daily routines and build a genuine connection with the children.

I'm looking for an arrangement with accommodation and meals provided in addition to an agreed hourly wage.
