Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I just moved to Brisbane for an Undergrad degree in Psychology at UQ. I am looking for some part time work next to my studies with compatible working hours. Experience: I grew up in a family of four kids (second oldest) taking care of my siblings and playing with them, we also had a nanny growing up, so I know what that job entails and how it works. Further I have been babysitting since 10th grade for a family with a 6 month old daughter until she was 3,5 years old. After I worked in China as an Aupair for 3 months for two young children (ages 2&4) living with them full time. I will get a blue card soon (if required) and am willing to do a first aid course/certification. I have an international drivers license and access to a car occasionally. The car belongs to my roommate whom I have to ask for availability but that could be scheduled ahead of time.

I’m a mother of three beautiful adult children and a proud grandmother to a gorgeous 16‑month‑old grandson. I’m looking for an opportunity to help another family with day‑to‑day activities and childcare support. I’m a very caring, nurturing, enthusiastic, and energetic person who loves looking after children. I frequently babysit my grandson and my wonderful nieces and nephews. Families describe me as calm, reliable, and great at keeping kids engaged with fun activities. A quote from one of my nanny families’ mums: “Rita is amazing. She is enthusiastic, energetic, and really cares about doing her job in the way that you want her to. Rita shows genuine initiative in making good use of any spare time she finds herself with, as only an experienced mother would know how to do. Most importantly, Rita loves the kids — and the kids love her!” I hold a Blue Card, First Aid and CPR certification, and I’m confident with routines, meals, homework and bedtime. I always communicate clearly with parents and keep the home tidy. Kind regards, Rita S.

I am a motivated and reliable individual with a strong passion for working with children and supporting their development in safe, engaging environments. Through my previous experiences, I have developed strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills. During my time volunteering as a water polo coach at St Andrews Anglican College (my high school), I worked weekly with primary school students, helping them build confidence and develop new skills. This role strengthened my patience, leadership and ability to support children as they learn and grow. I further developed these skills while working in the United Kingdom as an Activity Assistant and Camp Leader with PGL Travel for 7 months. In this role, I supervised and supported children aged 6–18 during outdoor education activities such as rock climbing and team games. I was responsible for ensuring their safety, guiding them through activities, organising free-time games and helping create a positive and supportive group environment. I spent every day caring for them. This experience confirmed my passion for working with children and taught me the importance of adaptability, responsibility and positive role modelling. I have also worked with a family for 4 months with an 8 month old infant and I hungout with her and did age appropriate activities and stayed with her while she was awake, assisted with household duties including folding laundry and cooking dinner, took the dog for a walk, and overall provided comfort and reliability to the family so they could do other things and not worry about the baby. I currently hold a valid Queensland Blue Card and bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s wellbeing and development.
