Hi! My name is Katie, I am 20 and going into my first year of study - specialist film and TV make-up. I live in the Grange and am happy to travel around to whatever suits parents. I volunteer in the Childrens Ministry and as a Youth Leader at my Church. In 2024 I travelled to Minnesota, USA to work at a summer camp for 3 months, looking after children of all ages, specifically with 8 to 11-year-olds. I am very crafty and love to be active in my spare time which I think is very important for children to love too! Working with children is something I love as they bring so much life into the world. I am comfortable and open to working with all ages and hope to bring some peace of mind to busy parents!

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi! My name is Yewon An, and I’m originally from South Korea. I’ve been living in Australia since 2017 and recently relocated to Brisbane from Sydney. I have experience tutoring primary school students, and I’m very comfortable caring for young children, having looked after my niece (4 years old) and nephew (11 months). I’m familiar with feeding, bathing, changing, and engaging children through play. While I may need a little guidance at first, I quickly build strong connections with children due to my genuine interest and love for caring for them. I’m responsible, patient, and always aim to create a safe and fun environment.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello, I am Fernanda. I previously worked as an au pair in the United States, where I looked after the kids and helped with their daily routines, school drop-offs and pick-ups, homework, playtime, and just the general flow of the household. At the same time, worked with other families with occasional child care. I absolutely loved the experience. Spending that much time with children means you really become part of their world, and they become part of yours too. Something that means a lot to me is that I’m still very close with my host family. For me, working with kids rarely feels like a job, they really do become part of my extended family. I’m a pretty energetic and hands-on person, and I enjoy doing things with kids rather than just supervising, crafts, games, imaginative play, helping with homework, or getting outside and keeping them engaged. I’m also a very private and respectful person, and because I’ve lived and worked inside a family home before, I completely understand that balance families need, having someone help and support the household while still respecting their space and privacy. Communication is KEY! Since my au pair years I’ve continued travelling and living abroad, and I’ve been in Australia for a few years now. Those experiences have made me really adaptable and comfortable working with different families and routines.

Looking for: Part-time

Hi! I'm a Psychology and English student in my final year at UQ and I'm looking for a long-term babysitting/au pair position (at least until the end of the year). Currently, I work at a high school boarding house, but as it is casual, I am seeking a more regular role. Over the past five years, I've worked across a variety of industries while maintaining a particular focus on children and young adults to supplement my university-level interest in child psychology. Through my various roles, I've developed a broad range of skills geared towards fostering positive relationships with young people. More specifically, I pride myself on maintaining open communication, firm boundaries, and innovative problem-solving, no matter how complex a situation. These attributes help facilitate an environment where both children and carers can feel confident that everyone is on the same page, and therefore safe and cared for.

I have several years of childcare experience alongside my studies. I looked after two boys aged 7 and 9 for one year, supporting them with daily routines and activities. I also cared for four girls over a three-year period — aged 5, 7, 3, and an infant of a few months — which strengthened my ability to manage different age groups at the same time. I am responsible, patient, and attentive, and I genuinely enjoy working with children.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi parents, my name is Daniella. I have a double Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from UTS and have worked full time at a consulting firm for 3 years and am looking for some babysitting opportunities in my local area. Previously I attended Willoughby Girls High in Sydney and before that, Cammeray Public School. I am very caring, have a warm personality and have 15 years babysitting experience. I have experience babysitting all ages and have done my first aid training with CPR and have a current Working with Children Check (WWC)/Blue Card. I am a sensible driver and have an Australian license. Additionally, I am a very good cook and will happily cook a range of different, healthy cuisines for your family and little ones. I play multiple instruments including guitar and piano and also came first in HSC music for singing and have performed at the Sydney Opera House. I also do latin dance competitively. If your kids are more sporty, I have played a range of sports throughout my life, in particular, basketball, and I am also a qualified basketball referee and Royal Yachting Association Skipper ( sailing captain), so I love to get outdoors! I am used to caring for large numbers of children as I was also a sailing instructor at Lane cove sailing club. Through this I taught young kids how to sail in a safe and fun environment. This applies to babysitting as I am responsible and will always ensure your child's safety whilst keeping them entertained or helping them with activities or homework. If they are young sailors that's fantastic, we will have lots in common. Please let me know if you have any questions! I have lots of references and would love to hear from you at short notice.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Dear Families, I'm the nanny for you if you are seeking help from a reliable, fun and dedicated nanny/ helper/ additional family member. Currently based in Brisbane, I’ve been working as a teacher and am looking to transition to a slower, more grounded lifestyle. I’m a qualified teacher, yoga and meditation teacher, and have previous experience as both a nanny and au pair. I’m very comfortable supporting children of different ages and contributing to a calm, structured, and nurturing home environment. I was also home-schooled in my early years, which has shaped my approach to learning. I value curiosity, creativity, and emotional safety. I enjoy a mix of childcare and practical household support, including cooking (I enjoy cooking and baking), organising, and helping maintain a well-functioning home. I’m proactive, reliable, and naturally take initiative. With my family based in Canada, I’m especially drawn to homes with a genuine, respectful family feel. Ideally looking for longer-term relationships that will work with some casual teaching alongside. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, podcasts, stand-up comedy, and being active — paddle boarding, cycling, hiking, and camping. I’m looking for a role that feels balanced — where I can contribute meaningfully to family life, while building a calm, connected environment for both the children and myself. I love to play alongside with the children I care for; I like to get involved in their games to help expand on their creative ideas and extend their play. I also think it is important to involve children in day to day activities. I try to use each experience as an opportunity for the children learn about, and further understand the world around them. I apply what I have learned about child development and human behaviour to my job as a nanny. I love being involved in kids' lives and watching them learn and grow. I'm happy to discuss various arrangements. Please contact me by phone or email if you would like to discuss how we might be able to work together and create the ideal circumstance for everyone. Current CV and references available.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, I'm Zoe. While I am new to babysitting, I am currently working in childcare as a lead educator and have been in the early education and care industry for over 4 years now. Due to my experience in the early education industry, I have solid knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and enjoy building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. I am experienced in caring for children of all ages, having worked in all age group rooms (I am currently lead of 2-3 year old age group). Even before beginning my career in caring for children, I am the oldest child of 5 siblings, so I have been caring for other children all my life. I have decided to take on a casual babysitting role while I pursue my studies as a nurse - I have a very flexible availability, available to work all hours on weekends and weekdays. If you’re looking for a friendly babysitter with professional experience in looking after children, feel free to message me😁
