Looking for a reliable, kind nanny/educator

Hampton, VIC | 16 km

Start Date: 09 Jun 25
Applications Close: 30 Jun 25

Posted by Niki 14 days ago

Job Details: Part-time

$35 per hour

Edit - Pay rate starts at $35 and is negotiable depending on experience. I value the work Nannie’s do and want the right person to be happy with the pay and conditions. I’m happy to split the days between two different Nannie’s or just one nanny for all shifts.

We are a single parent family of 1 mum and 2 happy boys aged 3 and 6 years old. Also, I should mention we have an old, lazy, friendly cat, who sleeps all day (for those who may be allergic to cats).

We live in Hampton, a beachside suburb and we are situated within walking distance to my kids kindergarten and school as well as 4 playgrounds, the beach, and the local shopping strip with cafes, shops, library etc.

My 6 yo attends school 5 days a week and my 3 yo attends kindergarten 2 days a week (Tues and Thursday) so the weekly requirement includes the following shifts:

Mon - all day - drop off and pick up of my 6yo - day spent with my 3yo - 10-11 hour shift
Tues - pick up after school/kinder - 2-3hr shift
Wed - all day - drop off and pick up of my 6yo - day spent with my 3yo - 10-12 hour shift
Thurs - pick up after school/kinder - 2-3 hr shift
Fri - all day - all day drop off and pick up of my 6yo - day spent with my 3yo - 10-12 hour shift

Extra shifts available during school holidays!
Someone kind, very reliable and fun who loves kids! References for previous experience essential.

I have in home care for the boys so I would need our new Educator/Nanny to sign up to Bambini, a service provided who would handle all pay and registration (free to sign up) to enable Child Care Subsidy to be deducted.

To meet all of the requirements to sign up with them they require the following:
-WWCC
-Police check
-first aid and CPR training
-currently studying or have qualifications in early childhood education

Our family is looking for some support after-school, in our home for a couple of days per week.

I have Multiple Sclerosis which provides challenges day to day and I experience quite a bit of fatigue. By late afternoon and into the evening I tend to need to conserve energy therefore I’m looking for some support with my daughter (8 years old). She is very active and requires dedicated attention, game playing, conversation and creative output.

I’d like to chat about what would work (can be flexible) but initial thoughts are:
- Mon and Wed afterschool 4-6pm
- interaction and learning through play
- ideas around creative play / set up stations of play
- some room tidying / sorting
- must be dog friendly (anxious dog but will be managed)

One of his current support workers is going away later in the year and we are looking to start training someone to replace her starting end of june. Days are flexible with tuesday, wednesday and thursday after school avaiable and fortnightly Sundays 3pm-8pm available. Please note a drivers licence and access to a car is essential for the role. We are looking for someone who can make a long term commitment of at last 1 year and the role requires regular weekly work with the child to be able to work with him on the school holidays so I am not able to accept applicants who are looking for temporary or solely school holiday work. Hello,

I have a beautiful 15 month old boy who we will need some help with as we run our family business. We currently have two beautiful Nanny’s that have been with us since Noah was 10 weeks old. However, unfortunately they have placements which means that we will need someone to come in and help out during these times.

I would also love to travel a bit later in the year and would like someone that could come along and help out with Noah.

Noah is full of energy and loves to play outside. He will keep you on your toes as he is walking/ running and is very very active. He loves music and our golden retriever Rosie. He is a very happy little man and is generally pretty easy to please.

As I work full time we will also need some help around the house while he naps/ plays independently with some light house chores such as laundry and dishes. We love our current nanny’s and the initiative they take to keep our house in order so that when we come home there isn’t too much for us to do at night.

We look forward to hearing from you!

NEW! Caring Babysitter for our 1 year old in Mickleham

Mickleham, VIC | 37 km

Start Date: 18 Jun 25
Applications Close: 16 Jun 25

Posted by Christeen a day ago

Job Details: Part-time

$35 per hour

**** WE'RE LOCATED IN MICKLEHAM ****
Hi there!
My name is Christeen, and I'm looking for a caring and reliable babysitter for our 1-year-old son, Tavi, for two out of the following three days: Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. I work from home and need someone to care for Tavi during business hours (9am–5pm). Note, we're located in Mickleham.

We're hoping to find someone who:
• Can plan age-appropriate, engaging activities that support Tavi’s motor and cognitive development (bonus if you're familiar with Montessori-style play).
• Can assist with preparing and feeding meals.
• Is confident putting him down for naps independently (I'll be around to support you as he gets used to it).
• Can change nappies.
• Can help with his daily routine, especially to support an earlier bedtime around 7pm.
• Wouldn’t mind helping with small daily household tasks while Tavi naps.
• Bonus: Speaks Spanish! I’m hoping to reintroduce the language into our home, and exposure through play and conversation would be wonderful.

We prefer someone who has professional experience working with toddlers aged 1–2, whether as a babysitter, in a daycare or early childhood education setting, and who can provide references for that experience.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone nurturing, fun, and trustworthy. Someone Tavi will be excited to see and feel safe with. So far, he’s been cared for by his grandparents and is used to being with loving, familiar adults.

A bit about us:
We’re a small family of four: my husband and I, our sweet 1-year-old Tavi, and Benji, our gentle and friendly 7-year-old Golden Retriever. We live in Mickleham and both my husband and I work from home. We follow a gentle parenting approach and are inspired by Montessori principles. We aim to give Tavi the freedom to explore, learn, and grow at his own pace in a calm and supportive environment.

We’re really excited to welcome the right person into our lives and look forward to finding someone who feels like a natural fit with our family. If this sounds like you, please get in touch and share your experience and references at chriskas2020@gmail.com.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
