He also loves being active—shooting hoops, kicking a soccer ball, going for a bike ride—so someone who enjoys sport or being outdoors would be wonderful.

He was born with a genetic neuro-developmental disorder and has global developmental delay. He is non-verbal, has cortical vision impairment (CVI), and low muscle tone, so he benefits from some additional support. Experience with children with additional needs is welcome but not essential—finding the right person who genuinely connects with Artie is most important to us.

Artie will be starting at a special school in Balwyn next year to support his communication needs. He has been wonderfully integrated into his mainstream kinder and childcare over the past four years, and we’re looking to ensure a smooth, positive transition.
