About Our Family
Our two children are six and eight years old. After many years with us, our current wonderful nanny is moving on. We are looking someone to become a new part of our family. We value the important role of a nanny and the connection that is built with the children. This is a sole charge nanny/manager position, for someone comfortable with occasions where one or both parents are working from home.
Our kids are energetic and bright, and love reading, crafting, puzzles and games. Our family enjoys learning about languages, science and the natural world. We do not use screen-time during the week and have a gentle parenting style (or so others tell us!). Our household uses structure and routine to help the rhythm and flow of our family in a light-hearted way and we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal fit is someone with high emotional intelligence, who is calm, patient, caring and understanding with children, particularly during times of high emotions. They value children’s voices and opinions, can support them with co-regulation when needed and have open communication with parents. They are reliable, organised and show initiative caring for the home and children.
Essential: current WWCC, First Aid qualification, own car and driver’s license, two checkable references. Desirable: Certificate III or higher in childcare.
We look forward to embracing our new nanny, with their own style and the unique qualities they will bring in to our family.
