A close, down-to-earth family of four with two girls, aged 8.5 and 5, is looking for a reliable, warm nanny to care for them Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2pm–6pm, starting as soon as the right person is found. Additional support will be needed during school holidays, plus occasional evening babysitting for date nights.
Please note this role isn't a fit if you need extended leave or are away for multiple weeks at a time, particularly over the summer period (excluding week before Christmas until mid-January).
About the family
A quiet, family-oriented household that values routine, warmth, and a wholesome, grounded environment for the girls. Both parents work, though they're sometimes home during the day, and are very hands-on and present in their children's lives. First and foremost, the family is looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely caring — someone with strong personal values who will treat their home like part of the family.
About the role
The nanny will care for both girls together, keeping them engaged with arts and crafts, outdoor play, cooking, reading, and imaginative games (the girls don't use iPads, and screen time is kept minimal). Duties include:
School pick-up on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Light laundry (washing and drying only, no ironing)
Grocery shopping before school pick-up
Helping keep the house tidy (general errands, accepting packages, unpacking the dishwasher)
Returning the house to a tidy state at the end of each day
Pay & requirements
$33/hour + super, paid properly through payroll
Permanent Australian Residency
Valid Working With Children Check
Valid First Aid and CPR certification
Experience with young children (open to someone newer to caregiving with the right qualities)
Two strong references
Driver's licence
Non-smoker/non-vaper
