We’re looking for a reliable and proactive housekeeper to help with our household workload. This role is about reducing the time two full time working parents with three kids aged 7 and under spend on regular household chores—not delivering a spotless, concierge-level service or rearranging our cupboards. We already have a nanny, and cleaners.
About the Role:
• Location: Richmond, Victoria (accessible street parking available)
• Schedule: Minimum once a week, preferably twice a week (non-consecutive days)
• Commitment: Long-term preferred (more than 3 months)
• Flexibility: Set days are highly desirable, so we can plan tasks efficiently
Duties:
Each Visit:
• General tidying (toys, books, and common area clutter)
• Kitchen upkeep (dishes, dishwasher, counters)
• Laundry (washing, "clothes line rotation", folding, and putting away clothes)
• Making beds (straightening kids’ doonas, tidying bedrooms)
• Quick bathroom upkeep (wipe sinks, mirrors as needed - although we have cleaners who come on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
• Managing bins (rubbish, recycling, worm farm, FOGO, Tommee Tippee)
• Tidying and organising children’s spaces
Occasional Tasks:
• Changing children’s bed linens (top sheet & mattress protector)
• Decluttering (eg "please put all clothing that is size 4 in this box") and seasonal organisation (kids’ clothes, toys)
• Deep cleaning appliances (toaster, fridge, microwave)
• Cleaning windows (monthly, where kids leave fingerprints)
• Pantry & fridge organisation (throwing out dying fruit/vegetables, wiping visibly dirty shelves)

• Available for an initial on-site induction (ie first couple of shifts need me on site to show you where things are)
