We’re looking for a lovely, reliable nanny/babysitter/home helper to give our family an extra pair of hands while I’m away for 2 weeks with work. My husband will be home with our two kids, including our 9-month-old, and we’re looking for someone who can help 2–3 times per week.
There is also the option to do a trial week the week before I leave, while I’m still around, so you can get to know the kids, our routine and how everything works before I head away.
Ideally, we’d love someone who is happy to pitch in with both the kids and a few light household tasks.
We’re looking for a mix of the following help:
• One weekday (any day except Wednesday) – approx. 3 hours during the day
Help with our 9-month-old while my husband is at home, put on/hang out a load of washing, and help with some simple dinner prep.
• Tuesday or Thursday evening – 5pm–10pm
Help with the kids after kinder, dinner and bedtime while my husband heads to tennis. Once the kids are asleep, a light tidy-up after dinner if time allows.
• Saturday or Sunday – approx. 3 hours
Play with and entertain the kids and generally give Dad an extra pair of hands!
We’re looking for someone who is warm, confident with young children, proactive and happy to muck in. Previous nanny/babysitting experience would be ideal.
The main role is for the two weeks I’m away, with the optional trial week beforehand. There may also be the opportunity for weekly or occasional ongoing help if it’s a great fit for everyone.
