I’ve been babysitting since I was a young teenager and am happy to provide references :) I have experience with all ages but have spent a particularly significant time with children of 1, 7 and 11 from working as a live-in nanny. I’m very used to guiding kids through morning and bedtime routines. I like boardgames, reading and sport so would love to be doing activities and having fun with the kids! I’m also happy to help with homework: I finished ATAR with distinction, am finishing an undergraduate degree in English and History next week with a 6.4 GPA and have tutoring experience. I believe in a gentle caregiving approach and always have patience for little ones :)

For as long as I can remember, all adults that knew me personally would comment on my natural ability with children, including my younger brother, many younger cousins, and family friends. I took on these comments and decided to begin work with children at SOEL- Schools of early learning. Since starting my job at various SOEL centers, I have gained many vital childcare skills and knowledge, including patients, empathy, communication, and confidence. My job as an assistant educator includes feeding and cleaning up children and the kitchen, changing nappies and putting children to sleep, keeping the kids entertained throughout the day, and creating activities to encourage enrichment. Starting this job has opened up many potential career pathways for me. I have since started studying for a bachelor of primary education at Curtin University to progress my childcare passion further. I'm in my first year of university, and I thoroughly enjoy learning how children's brains work differently from adults and ways to combat and deal with these differences. I'm an easygoing, active, and reliable young lady who is very keen to assist families with child care.
