**Looking for casual/once off babysitting**. I am a friendly and empathetic university graduate who has recently completed a Masters of Counselling. Ultimately, and once registered, I hope to gain employment working with young people to promote and encourage discussion around mental health. I have experience working with and caring for children in various settings. I have been a nanny/casual babysitter since 2016. I have been working with my current family and their two kids (6 and 8) for the past 3 years consistently. In terms of personal experience, I have an 18 year old brother who has historically been very witty and entertaining to both look after and be around.
I am a bubbly, happy, hardworking person and absolutely love children. I have been looking after two children for the past three years and have just moved away so will not be able to see them as regularly. I am now looking for a new babysitting work as I find spending time with children is always such a fun and wonderful experience. Children are so honest and grounded and see things so clearly which teaches me so much when I spend time with them. My mum is also a prep/kinder teacher and I have always spent time around her work places and have fallen in love with it all.
I grew up with a Steiner education, doing lots of art, music and nature play and with the children I care for, I like to support them with safely exploring these things plus more; reading to or with them (depending on their age) and acting out the parts to make it extra fun; singing with or to them and drawing pictures for them to colour in or just drawing with them. Building fairy homes in the backyard is always a great activity as well, using nature as the materials.

Hi there!
I am currently 20 years old, living independently in thornbury. I am looking for casual work that is rewarding, and allows me to form greater connections to those that I am helping. I have previously worked in a psychologist’s office where I assisted special needs children in their activities, and sat into occupational therapy sessions. It was the most rewarding activity I had ever done, and I hope to bring the things I have learnt into this role with me!
I love children - but most importantly I love helping families in need. I am also an experienced pet sitter and dog walker, so I would be happy to help out with any pets as well. If your children are quite young and require additional help with school, I am happy to assist with homework and tutoring during baby sitting times! I am capable of taking them to the shops with me, and can teach them to cook by helping me prepare food/snacks in the kitchen! These are things I wish someone could’ve helped me with when I was younger - so I wish to teach everyone else.
I am fully vaccinated.
I am currently nannying part time for a family starting February (during school terms), but can babysit casually on Mondays, Fridays and weekends during these terms.
When school holidays arrive I have complete availability on all days of the weeks.

I am unfortunately going away in a few weeks - my last day in Melbourne will be July 15th - however I am very flexible and available up until then to help out in any way I can.
