Meet Kara: A nanny in Blackburn, VIC

Hi families!

I'm Kara, a professional nanny with over ten years' experience caring for children from 5 months to 15 years old, across live-in, live-out, and au pair roles in Melbourne and London. I'm looking for $45–50/hr plus super, paid via payslip (PAYG).

Childcare has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but it was during my time as a live-in nanny in London that I truly found my passion for this work — being trusted with a family's daily routine and watching a child grow under my care is genuinely where I feel most fulfilled.

I manage full daily routines including school, kinder, and daycare drop-offs and pick-ups, meal preparation, homework support, and bedtime, alongside broader household tasks like laundry, tidying, and meal planning. I'm patient, organised, and adaptable, and I take real pride in creating a secure, loving environment where children feel safe to be themselves and grow with confidence.

I hold a current Working with Children Check and Paediatric First Aid certification, and I have my own car and a full driver's licence. I'm looking for an ongoing nanny role where I can nurture a family from the ground up — I'd also welcome a role that blends childcare with house manager or personal assistant support.
