Meet Cynthia: A nanny and babysitter in Toorak, VIC

Hey Family,

My name is Cynthia, I’m 26 years old and I’ve been living in Melbourne for the past 10 months. For nine of those months, I worked as an au pair, caring for a three-year-old boy and a five-year-old girl.

During my time as an au pair, I was responsible for getting the children ready in the mornings, preparing meals and lunchboxes, doing school and kindergarten pick-ups, planning activities, and supporting their evening routine, including bath time and putting them to bed. I became very confident managing daily routines and creating a structured but loving environment.

I truly love spending time with children. I enjoy being outdoors with them — going to playgrounds, exploring nature, playing soccer, or simply going for walks. I also love doing creative activities like painting, crafting, and building things together. For me, it’s important that children feel safe, understood, and happy, while also having fun and learning through play.

I would describe myself as warm, patient, responsible, and reliable. I build strong bonds with children and genuinely care about their wellbeing and development. I am also flexible and always happy to support families where needed.
