Meet Laura: A nanny and babysitter in Toorak, VIC

I am excited to apply for the Nanny/Educator position and would love the opportunity to support your family.

As a Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator with over 15 years of experience working with children under five, I have worked in both long day care settings and private nanny roles throughout my career. My experience includes caring for children in educational environments as well as supporting families in their homes, giving me a well-rounded understanding of children's development and family life. I bring a warm, nurturing, and professional approach to childcare and am passionate about helping children learn, grow, and thrive.

I have been on a career break from full-time daycare work. During this time, I have renovated my apartment and worked as a nanny part-time. I now know, that nannying is my preferred role.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating engaging learning experiences that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. I enjoy building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families and believe that open communication and consistency are key to helping children feel secure, confident, and supported.

In addition to my nanny experience, my background in early childhood education has provided me with extensive experience planning and implementing play-based learning experiences. I particularly enjoy creating activities involving sensory play, arts and crafts, music, early literacy and numeracy, and outdoor exploration. I have extensive experience supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development and enjoy tailoring experiences to children's interests, strengths, and individual needs. I have also supported children with additional needs and am committed to providing inclusive, individualised care that enables every child to thrive.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, a current Working with Children Check, Police Check, and current certifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Management.
