Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Aside from being a housewife and parent to my two boys (aged 10 and 13), I do a lot of volunteer work at their school. I finished Certificate IV in School Based Education Support. However, I do still have some spare time while my kids are at school, and I would love to spend it helping other mums who are having a hard time. I am very caring, patient, friendly and energetic. I don't like the idea of kids using screens, especially when they are at a young age, and so I've learned to be very creative and flexible when playing with kids. I also love cooking and housework and I am very good at them!

Thanks for reading this. I've completed a Health Sciences degree, and also a Diploma in Community Services in June 2018 and since then I have had 7.5 years experience working at a not-for-profit organisation facilitating playgroups for families from newly arrived refugee and migrant backgrounds. Within this role I also completed case work and facilitated a homework program and children's holiday programs for primary school aged children. I additionally have a total of 5 years experience as a nanny across two families, one family with 3 children and another family with 2 children. I have 6 months experience as a Youth Worker (middle years) at a local council. I have a valid first aid certificate, working with children's check, police check, a full driver's license and a car. I prioritise safety and I really enjoy working with families and children of all ages. I have a passion for the health and wellbeing of children and have really enjoyed seeing children grow over time. I'd love to hear from you!

Hi there! My name is Daina, I'm 26, and I'm currently completing my Master’s in Secondary Education, majoring in Visual Arts. I love all things creative, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to be studying my passion while preparing for a career where I can share the beauty and joy of artistic expression with young people! I currently work in Learning Support at a girls’ school in Northcote, where I’ve spent the past two years supporting a diverse range of learners, including students with additional needs. This role has given me a deep understanding of children’s unique learning styles, personalities and ways of engaging with the world! Alongside my school experience, I’ve also worked with TeamKids for holiday and afterschool care, looking after children of all ages and keeping them entertained throughout the day (my go-to activities are always dance parties or arts and crafts!- essentials). These experiences have helped me develop a warm, playful and patient approach to childcare. I have also done kids' face-painting for a few years at local day festivals, so I have that in my back pocket as a crowd pleaser whenever it's needed! My most treasured experience is time spent caring for my two beautiful nieces, whom I absolutely adore and love being their Zia! I’ve been babysitting them since they were special little bubbas! This is where I have had the most of my nannying experience; bathing, nappy changes and feeding time! I look forward to supporting you and your special ones too!
