Kia ora! I’m Aimee, a 29-year-old New Zealander with a background in psychotherapy and a nurturing, grounded approach to childcare. I recently completed my Master’s in Art Therapy and Psychotherapy, and over the past year, I worked at Abbotsford Primary School as the School Counsellor and Art Therapist. Alongside my clinical experience, I’ve spent many years nannying and babysitting children aged 11 months through to 14 years. My approach is warm, playful, and emotionally attuned—I love creating safe and supportive environments where children can be themselves and thrive. I’m reliable, calm under pressure, and confident caring for little ones with different needs and personalities. My therapeutic training gives me a strong foundation in emotional regulation, development, and respectful communication—skills I bring into every interaction. 🍼 I’m currently working with a lovely family, but they’ll be away during August—so I’m looking to connect with new families for casual, short-term, or ongoing roles during this time. I’d love to chat about how I can support your family—feel free to reach out!

Looking for: Part-time

I’ve cared for a diverse range of families including age/values/background. I own a car in Melbourne so am able to do drop offs and pick ups or go on little adventures/outings. I’m very comfortable with nights spent inside and winding down preparing for bed but am just as happy to venture outdoors and explore the day. Love going for walks in the park/garden while also love time inside watching movies/reading/playing games/making art. I love animals and am no stranger to mess or a chaotic environment! I absolutely love to bake and craft even in my own time so I’m happy to bake or meal prep if that is something the family would like. Whether baking is an activity I share with the family or an exciting surprise I bring to the table (no pun intended). I can easily adapt to the families lifestyle and quickly figure out what works best. I’m confident with any tasks thrown at me, especially if shown how the family likes things handled so I can fit into the household smoothly. I’m all for random but effective idiosyncrasies! I’m very patient and.I can adapt easily to new situations or new changes in a family’s life. I see myself as a generally calm person and don’t tend to panic if something goes awry.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi families! I am a Japanese Brazilian preparing to do a Master's in Applied Linguistics at Melbourne Uni, currently working as a part-time nanny and language tutor in North Melbourne. I am applying for a nanny position since I have experience in providing care for children of 1 to 12 years old age range.  Here in Melbourne, I assisted a lovely family with 3 children (ages from 1 to 8) for 2 years 4 days per week and occasional weekends, and babysat for the family's friends over the weekends too, so I can provide great references. My duties included preparing breakfast, morning and afternoon snacks, lunch and dinner, dressing them, changing nappies, bathing, taking them to the park or library, reading books, preparing craft activities, supervising them during playtime, organising toys, unloading/loading the dishwasher, and an occasional childcare/school pick up or drop off by foot.  I have been working as a language tutor for more than 10 years, teaching mainly Japanese, but also Portuguese and English to people from different countries. Being an enthusiast of languages, I have also studied French for 1 year to manage a trip to France, and Italian to live in Rome for almost a year. I studied Arts at university as well, so I enjoy some crafting too.  As a South American, I am very attached to my family, so I consider that home should be a place where we feel loved, safe, and supported to become confident and independent. Also, as a Japanese descendant, I believe in the sense of community and being socially responsible to the people around us and the environment. I take great pleasure in explaining things to kids and have a patient personality. Looking forward to meeting you :)
