Meet Kaitlin: A nanny in North Melbourne, VIC

Hi, my name is Kaitlin!

I’m a North Melbourne local and have recently completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. I currently work two days a week managing an art gallery and hope to commence a Master of Education next year, with an interest in Steiner education and child development.

Alongside my work, I maintain an active creative practice and love engaging children through arts and crafts, drawing, storytelling, imaginative play and other hands-on activities that encourage curiosity and creativity. I value a gentle, patient and respectful approach to caring for children, and am drawn to Steiner principles that nurture imagination, independence and a child’s natural curiosity.

While I don’t have formal nannying experience, I’ve spent much of my life around younger children as the oldest child, cousin and grandchild in my family. These experiences have helped me develop a caring, responsible and attentive approach to working with children.

I hold a valid Working With Children Check and Police Check, as well as a Red Cross First Aid Fundamentals certificate. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups, homework, creative activities, pet care and light household tasks.
