Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there! 👋 I’m Micha — a 30-year-old creative soul who’s just swapped the city buzz for the ocean breeze in beautiful Clovelly. My partner and I recently made the move, and I’m excited to get to know the local community while picking up some extra nannying or casual babysitting work in the area. By day, I work full-time at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), but I’ve always had a soft spot for working with kids. I’ve been babysitting and nannying on and off for years — it’s something I genuinely love doing. Whether it’s creative play, school drop-offs, or quiet bedtime stories, I’m all in. Here’s a quick rundown: • ✅ Working With Children’s Check • ✅ Valid Police Check • 🚗 A zippy little car to get around • ⏰ Availability: Weekdays 6–9am & 5–10pm (plus weekends!) • 🎨 I’m a big fan of drawing, painting, cooking, and winter swims at the beach (yes, even when it's chilly!) • Happy to help with household chores and cleaning. I work from home two days a week and head into the AFTRS office in Moore Park three days a week, so I’ve got a good bit of flexibility to adjust my schedule if needed. Let’s chat about how I can best support your family’s weekly routine! If you think I might be a great fit for your household, I’d love to hear from you. Thanks so much, Micha ✨

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time

Hi, I’m Lydia! I’m 23 and originally from Wales, and I’m currently in Australia on a working holiday visa after travelling the amazing East Coast. I’m excited to settle for a while and continue doing the work I love most, caring for children and becoming part of a family’s support system. I’m a very active person and love running, swimming, hiking and yoga. When I’m not outdoors, you’ll usually find me reading, journaling, baking or cooking. These are all activities I enjoy sharing with the children I look after, whether that’s helping them build confidence in the water, creating nature-inspired adventures, baking something fun together, or winding down with a calm storytime. I’ve babysat locally at home for a range of ages, from toddlers to early teens, which taught me how to adapt to different personalities and needs. Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to be an au pair in Paris for an 8-year-old girl. It was a life-changing experience that helped me grow a lot as a carer, from navigating routines and school schedules to supporting her emotionally while living abroad. I’m still in close contact with the family, which I think reflects the strong, genuine bonds I build with the children I care for. What’s most important to me is creating a relationship that feels sibling-like in warmth, but also clear in boundaries and respect. I love sharing my interests and passions with children, and equally love learning from them, whether it’s discovering their hobbies, exploring their imagination, or supporting their unique personalities. I believe a nanny and child should both learn from each other and grow together. I consider being a nanny a fundamental role in a child’s development. You become part of their everyday world, their memories, and the little moments that shape who they are. I always aim to leave a positive impact, create a safe and happy environment, and bring calm, fun, and kindness into their routines. I’d love the chance to bring that same energy and care to a family here in Australia.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting,Au Pair

My name is Bríd Madden, and I’m from Ireland. I’ll be relocating to Australia end of September early October , which I’m incredibly excited about. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit over the years. I love to explore new cultures and new adventures, adapts quickly, and is always eager to embrace new experiences. I have a double honors degree in Psychology and Education from Swansea University, and I’ve always had a deep passion for working with children. Over the past few years, I’ve gained a wide range of experience in childcare and youth work. I’ve worked at summer camps across Germany and the UK, where I was responsible not only for supervising and caring for children, but also for designing and leading engaging games and activities that were both fun and educational. As well as lesson planning and night supervision. These roles taught me how to balance fun with structure and gave me a solid foundation in working with young people of various ages and backgrounds. I have also volunteered with special Olympics and taught both adults and students with Down syndrome to swim and play football. Which I found very rewarding and further taught me about patience and communication. One of my most rewarding roles was working as a Welfare Manager at the Alpadia Language Camp in London. In this position, I was responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers, managing a team of staff, coordinating daily schedules, resolving conflicts, and liaising with parents. It was a role that that thoroughly improved my communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and I found it incredibly fulfilling to create a positive, nurturing environment for both staff and students. In addition to my camp experience, I’ve done a significant amount of babysitting, particularly with children with special needs, including those with Down syndrome, autism, and non-verbal communication styles. These experiences have taught me to be patient, empathetic, and attentive, and I always aim to create a calm, supportive, and joyful environment tailored to each child's unique needs. When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me outdoors. I absolutely love being active—whether it’s playing lacrosse, football, Gaelic football, swimming, or hiking. I’m always seeking out new experiences and adventures, and I thrive when I’m surrounded by nature and movement. Another one of my passions is cooking. I love spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, trying out dishes from different cultures, and cooking nutritious meals for friends and family. I’d be delighted to share that joy in your home, whether it’s preparing meals for the kids or baking together as a fun afternoon activity. Overall, I’m a warm, dependable, and energetic person who genuinely enjoys caring for and connecting with children. I bring a strong work ethic, a sense of fun, and a commitment to creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions—I’d be more than happy to chat! Warm regards, Bríd Madden

I’m an experienced nanny with a background caring for kids aged 5 to 12, I’ve gotten really good at providing support that matches each child’s age and stage. I’m currently living in London, where I’ve spent the last two and a half years as an Au Pair for a film and TV director, but I’ll be moving back home to Australia and ready to work from April 2026. I’m caring, reliable, and empathetic, and I always prioritise the safety and well-being of the kids I look after. I’m also adaptable and love creating a nurturing, fun environment where children can grow and feel supported. Staying active and focusing on both physical and mental well-being are big values of mine, and I enjoy bringing that into my time with the children. Outside of nannying, I’m a singer, songwriter, and performer, which adds a creative, imaginative flair to the way I connect with kids. Open to discussing pay based on the job logistics and duties.

My experience as a nanny: -Family in South Yarra for about 2 years with 2 girls (1yo and 3yo when I started). -Family in Armadale for 2 years, with twins (boy and girl) (2.5yo when I started). -Family in Armadale with 3 kids (7yo, 6yo and 3yo) for 6 months before they moved overseas (with this family I had a nanny role plus housekeeper role, I organised pretty much everything in their house and lives, including breakfast and dinner). -Family in Northcote, for 1 year, with 2 boys (2yo and 5yo when I started). -Family in Northcote for 5 months (7yo and 11yo) -Family in Yarraville for 2 months while their nanny came back from holidays (6 months old baby) My references are quite strong and also I've done lots of casual babysitting. I've done housekeeping and cleaning too, and I'm more that happy to get a role that involves that if necessary. I'm a confident driver and I have a full Australian licence, I drove a lot with my last 3 families.
