Hello, my name is Niamh (Neeve),
I am a 17-year-old (18 in April) recent Year 12 graduate who will soon commence studies in Media and Communications at Western Sydney University. I have over two years of professional experience working in designer retail businesses, where I developed strong customer service, communication, and relationship-management skills, particularly during high-pressure peak trading periods. I sought out two work experience opportunities in both year 10 and 12 the first of which was as a learning assistant in my former primary school, and the second being as part of the journalism team of The Canberra Times.
I have provided assistance to adults with an intellectual and physical disability as part of the support provided by my grandmother in her role as a disability service manager and long-term carer. Furthermore, I have provided babysitting for my mum’s friends’ young children. From these experiences of engaging with children, youth and adults in a number of differing volunteer and professional settings I have developed both personally and professionally. These experiences have influenced my values, goals, and deep commitment to quality care.
I am very house proud and enjoy keeping a clean and organised environment. I cook regularly at home and am currently working towards a first aid certificate.
Originally from Canberra, I have recently relocated to Carlingford, an area with strong family connections, and I am looking for a long term position in the local area whilst I complete my studies, and begin my chosen career.
I am really excited at the prospect of meeting you and your family.
Hope to talk to you soon,
Niamh
