Hey there! My names Ally, I'm a 22 year old OT student looking to help out where needed (: My friends would describe me as a bubbly, trustworthy, organised, patient and caring. In my spare time, I'm usually micro-learning (as OT is a very broad field and I want to specifically work in the mental health/spinal injury area), doing DIY projects or going to pilates with friends. I’d like to think I’m a well rounded person, having worked alongside the Khmer people for RAW impact on a service tour, as well as being a certified Event health officer (In WA) for St John of God and the challenges that those roles bring. I have always loved caring for kids. Its Honestly never felt like work to me. I love knowing their little habits and quirks and working alongside them. Being a nanny is engraved in me, as I grew up from the age of 5-14 with a few different au pairs (and really cherish the memories I shared with them to this day).
My previous experience includes looking after an 8 y.o boy and a 10y.o girl. This involved overnight stays (every second night for 3 weeks), cooking (breakfast and dinner), cleaning, doing activities with them (playground games, beach trips, colouring in, walking their dog with them or making up dance routines, doing homework with them), getting them ready for school and upholding the family's principles/morals. Although my experience has mainly been with ages 5-13, I am very open to younger children! I am a fast learner and have multiple cousins aged 1-4 that I have spent plenty of time with. For privacy reasons I won't put my references number on here but will be given upon request.
Please do send a message as I’d love to chat/meet to see if I’m the right fit for your family as it would be my pleasure to earn your trust in looking after the ones you love (:
