I'm originally from Broome and have boarded all my high schooling years - Graduating Year 12 at Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC) Perth, in 2018 and spent 2019 studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Curtin University.
After graduating in the end of 2018 I began nannying for a family with 2 young boys aged 5 and 7, and continued looking after them for 2 years.
I have since nannied for a few families casually over the years, of all ages and genders.
I come from a big family of 6, with 3 younger brothers - the youngest just turned 5.
I love children and am comfortable looking after them, having grown up looking after my siblings and my past years of nannying experience.
I feel I am well suited to all age groups, as I've now had a lot of experience caring for infants to older children, I have very flexible hours as I'm studying online.
I love cooking and am happy to make the kids breakfast/lunch/dinner. As well as organising cooking activities with the kids which would be fun for both of us.
I'm comfortable assisting with homework - in Year 12, I was elected Senior Boarder where I worked alongside the Head of the Boarding House and a team of other prefects, working to implement programs into the boarding house to assist the girls academically and spiritually.
One being a 'Buddy Program' or 'Big Sister' where each Year 12 was partnered with a new Year 7 or 8, essentially to guide them through their first boarding year so they had someone to lean on for emotional or academic support. I really enjoyed guiding the girls and watching them grow into themselves at the school.
I feel like I'm a very empathetic person and had many younger girls lean on me as a big sister figure for support.
Throughout the year I also tutored the subjects; English, Maths, Biology, Psychology, Visual Art and Food Science, as I was studying these subjects at the time.
I enjoy arts and crafts, oil painting in particular.
I love music, playing the piano and guitar.
I'm a vegetarian and total green thumb, so on most sunny days i'm out in the veggie patch.
I enjoy most sports and was involved in various teams throughout school, I am more than happy taking the children to the park or bike/scooter rides as an afternoon activity.
I feel that I'm an all rounded, easy-going girl and hope that I can be apart of another family soon.
I'm very tidy and always clean up after myself and the children after meals, also making sure they've done their daily jobs like homework or making their bed.
I am very mindful that each parent is different and I'm more than happy to do things the way you would like me to, I'm respectful of your home and your system that runs within the household.
It's as easy as letting me know your goals each day and what you'd like me and the kids to do to make your life easier when you get home from work. Hope to meet with you soon :)
