Hi there :) let me introduce myself,
My name is Kirsty and I am a mum of 3 beautiful children aged 7-14 years old. I have spent a good amount of those years being at home raising my children so I have plenty of hands on experience. Right from a young age, my one dream in life was to be a mum, I have always loved children and the joy that they bring and have always been the go-to niece, friend and aunty that is called on for baby sitting and “Aunty Kirsty sleepovers”. I am experienced and confident in handling all of the challenges that come with looking after little ones.
In 2024 I became a qualified education assistant and have spent the last 6 months working as a special needs EA, supporting a range of children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. I truly feel that I have found my calling in this role and have found this to be so rewarding and fulfilling. My calm, gentle and empathetic nature has allowed me to build safe, meaningful, trusting relationships with all of the children I have worked with and I am passionate about nurturing a child’s mental well being and creating a caring, safe, fun and supportive environment that enables a child to thrive and reach their full potential. I have cared for babies as young as 2 months old and in a professional setting I have supported children from kindy up until year 5.
As a mum of 14 years, I am well aware of the demands of managing a household while also trying to keep your little ones entertained, safe, happy and fed and now that my own babies are in full time school, I would love to help out where you need it most. I have a gentle and patient approach in caring for children and am capable of understanding and supporting individual children’s needs. I am confident and capable in meeting your little ones needs, and understand the importance of routine and consistency. As a mum myself I understand that nobody knows your child as well as you do and i am completely respectful of doing what works best for you and your family.
I have strong attention to detail, initiative, great communication skills and can adapt to almost any situation.
As well as my already mentioned experience, I have also completed a First Aid and CPR course, and a workshop in child protection and abuse prevention. I am a responsible and reliable carer and am committed to keeping your little ones safe and believe in protecting any child as if they were your own.
I have a valid police clearance and a working with children’s check and am happy to answer any questions or have a chat either in person or over a coffee so that you can get to know me a little more :)
At this stage I am available Monday - Friday during school hours, however I can be flexible and am happy to do evenings/night times here and there when I am available :)
