Hi my name is Emma. I have over 16 years experience in early childhood and hold my Diploma in Children's Services and Working With Children's Check. For 15 years I worked as a room leader at a small early learning centre, where I cared for children aged 0-6 and eventually was the Assistant Director for a few years. I also worked as a kindergarten assistant at a sessional kinder, while nannying for two families in the afternoon/ evenings. I left my role at the kinder and nannying at the end of 2019, just before my daughter was born. She will be starting school this year, giving me availability to work with more families. I prioritise building trusting relationships with the children I care for, where they can feel safe and accepted to be themselves and know that their opinions, needs and interests are valued. When I’m nannying, the children’s needs always come first over any cleaning etc. But I utilise my time and do my best to maintain a tidy environment. I’m also very passionate about supporting parents, particularly mums, and helping ease their load around the home.
