Meet Abbey: A nanny and babysitter in Kilsyth, VIC

I’m currently working as a governess on a cattle/ Dorper station, which involves both teaching and nannying. I look after and teach a (7) Year 1, (10) Year 4 and 4 year old, and when the parents are away mustering interstate, I take care of the children and make sure we stick to their usual routines, schoolwork and activities.

Before becoming a governess, I worked as a kindergarten assistant teacher for 10 months, working with 3 and 4 year olds, and prior to that spent 9 months working in childcare with children from newborns through to 4 years old.

I’ve also been babysitting for over 6 years and have experience caring for children with additional needs, including Level 2 autism, non verbal children, ADHD and literacy/reading difficulties.
