Hi, Iβm Charli! Iβm 23 years old and have been working in childcare since I was freshly 18, giving me 5 years of hands-on experience caring for children of all ages.
My Childcare Journey πΈ
My journey in childcare has been nothing short of incredible. From the very first day I stepped into a childcare centre, I knew that working with children was something I genuinely loved. Over the past five years, Iβve had the privilege of watching so many little personalities grow, learn and develop, and itβs something I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of. Throughout my childcare career, Iβve worked with children from babies and infants through to toddlers, preschool and school-aged children. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the different stages of childhood and the individual needs that come with each age.
For me, childcare is about so much more than simply keeping children safe. I love getting to know each child for who they are, learning their little personalities, interests and routines, and creating an environment where they feel comfortable, happy and supported. Iβm a very warm, bubbly, patient and caring person, and I love being silly and having fun with the children I care for. Whether thatβs getting creative with crafts, playing outside, reading stories, playing games, helping with homework or simply being there for a cuddle when they need one, I love making children feel safe, valued and heard. Over the years, Iβve also developed strong skills in creating age-appropriate activities, preparing and assisting with meals, following routines, settling children, maintaining a safe environment and providing emotional support when little ones need some extra reassurance.
Why I Love Babysitting π§Έ
One of my favourite things about babysitting is being able to provide parents with peace of mind knowing their little ones are being cared for by someone they can trust. I understand that leaving your children with someone new can feel like a big thing, which is why I always prioritise building a genuine connection with both the children and their parents. Iβm happy to follow your usual routines, house rules and parenting preferences so your children can feel comfortable and their day can continue as normally as possible. After five years in childcare, Iβve learnt that every child is different and thatβs one of the things I love most about the job. Iβm always happy to adapt to each childβs individual personality, needs and interests.
I genuinely love what I do and feel so lucky that my career has allowed me to spend my days helping little people learn, grow, laugh and feel loved. Iβd love the opportunity to become someone your family can feel completely comfortable and confident having around your children. π
