Looking for: Casual Babysitting

At 18 years old, I am currently pursuing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at Wesley College, which has not only equipped me with strong academic skills but has also taught me the importance of balance in life, especially when it comes to working with children. I am actively seeking casual work opportunities and believe that babysitting aligns perfectly with my passion for nurturing young minds. My experience working with kids has been fulfilling; I have tutored in subjects like maths, science, and English, which has strengthened my communication skills and has allowed me to really enjoy working with children of varying ages. Additionally, I feel like I naturally get along with kids, making it easy for me to connect with them, providing a supportive and fun environment. Beyond academics, I am also very comfortable around animals, which could be an added benefit for families with pets. I am eager to apply my skills and enthusiasm in a babysitting role, ensuring that the children in my care feel safe, cared for, and engaged in meaningful activities.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there! I am very excited about meeting and getting to know you. To start with: I am away for all of January. And I’m starting an online CERT III Early Childhood Education Course. - Valid Victorian Drivers Licence - WWCC: exp. 26/10/2028 - Police Check: exp. - Level 2: First Aid (inclusive: Asthma, CPR & Epi-pen) exp. June 2027 - CV: with copies of my credentials - References Also- Right now I am looking for: •Casual babysitting •Ongoing regular babysitting •Before school care •Morning-midday care {All of the above: to fit in with my current job schedule} *NOTE: the family I work for; are aware of all of these actions I am taking, with looking for extra work. Now about me - I have been providing childcare on & off over the past 22 years. The last 8 of those; I have been a Full-time Nanny. I was an Au Pair in Paris in 2016, however I started child caring in 2002 when I was 14: for my, then, piano teacher’s son. I cared for him 3 days a week, (after school) from the age of 2-8, while his mother worked: I had to master the skill of noise level control! Once I was 16 I began to babysit for other families during the evenings and weekends. I babysat casually between my part-time job and my studies 2006-2009. Between 2010-2016 I would assist as a mother's helper when asked, whilst working 4 jobs and trying to find my path in this world, by families that knew me, or who were referred: until I left for Paris that is! In 2017 I used this site to find causal & part-time carer positions. Eventual I found an amazing family to work for, as a full-time Nanny, I was with them from July 2017-July 2020. When it no longer made sense for me to be there whilst they worked from home, and the 3 girls couldn’t do their extra curricula’s because of lockdowns. The next Family, was a family of 4; a boy- 9 years old & a girl - 7 years old, providing before and after school care 5 days a week from Jan 2021-Sept 2021. From Sept 2021-present; I have been working F/T with another Family of 4: 2 boys; 5 & 8 years old. I can prepare meals (with care for diet requirements: vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free etc), supervise homework, shower/bath time, oral hygiene and attend the bedtime routine. I always have an activity up my sleeve: centred around their age, and enjoy baking with children. I believe in tiding/cleaning as you go, this is ingrained, I have also assisted with transportation for: school drop-off/pick-up, extra curricular activities, play dates & excursions. I have do light house duties related to the children, and house manger tasks. If you have read this far, I look forward to receiving a message from you. ☺️

Looking for: Casual Babysitting

I previously worked in accounts jobs in offices. However, when COVID 19 emerged I was having trouble getting work so I decided to study Childcare as I realize there is a need for childcare workers. I have worked at OAC Armadale as a permanent educator. However, now I am working in an office fulltime and looking at other options such as Casual work. I have 2 daughters aged 18 and 21. Whilst I was at OAC I tried to introduce children to fun learning experiences and always made sure they felt safe and secure inside and outside the room. I enjoyed making them feel safe and secure and introducing them to interesting learning activities.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, my name is Kiran. I am 28 years old from the UK and have 8 years of experience in working with children, from toddler age up to the age of 16. I have UK certificates for First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Safeguarding. My bachelor's degree in Psychology allowed me to dive into topics such as social development of children & adolescents, in which I have always been so intrigued how nurture and nature contribute to a child's growth and how we as adults have a big impact. My time in Melbourne so far has been as an Au Pair, with ability to pick up routines quickly and form trustworthy and caring relationships with families and children. I am comfortable with multiple children at one time and happy to do a variety of things with them whether it be arts & crafts, homework, sports, games, cooking/baking, life skills, assist them to after-school classes, walks, showering, and putting them to bed. I also don't mind doing lighthouse work whilst the children are occupied or asleep. I love meeting new people and have worked with children in a whole variety of settings, including those with educational needs, disabilities, and challenging behaviour. I am mainly looking for casual work as I am also looking for another full-time job and happy to discuss if you ever need care for overnight too. I do not have a car but will gladly make use of Melbourne's trusty public transport links and uber when necessary. Rate for weekends and late evenings is $35ph, normal days just $30ph.

Looking for: Casual Babysitting

Hi, my name is Georgie. I have over 25 years experience working with children and teenagers as a babysitter, teacher, tutor and nanny. I'm quick to connect with children of all ages and know every child is unique and in different moments is looking for something different from a carer. Ensuring your child is safe is my number one priority. Once they know you care, the rest generally works itself out-at times that may look like fun and games, sometimes they may need personal space and at others someone to ensure their routine is running along on track. Knowing what a parent is looking for in a babysitter/nanny and feeling like that matches what I think I can offer is as important as finding common ground with the children in your care.

Post grad I worked in the start-up sector and various marketing roles. I started modelling in 2021, which began full on and is now my main occupation, accompanied by some smaller marketing roles. I am looking for some casual work with the right family which could turn into more consistent work. I am extremely active, great at art, smart, good at tennis, fun and love to spend time with kids. I have a very flexible and rather available schedule, however it is difficult for me to "commit" to specific days due to the nature of my work, which changes every week. So a flexible day role is what I am looking for. Warmest, Scarlett

I graduated Firbank Grammar school in 2015, and commenced a Bachelor of Visual Communication and Design at Deakin in March 2017. I have nearly 10 years of experience with kids. I have previously worked as a soccer coach for children between the ages of 5 and 14 and believe this has made me able to interact well with kids, and have fun with them without being too lenient. I have also worked nannying for over 5 years with children aged 4-15. I am a caring, considerate, fun, sporty and creative person and love playing with kids and assisting them in their development. I have most recently nannied for a family of 3 kids and had the responsibilities of school pick ups, grocery shopping, lunchbox making, cooking dinner, homework supervision, folding, ironing and washing, stacking and unstacking the dishwasher, care of new puppy as well as errands like dropping off dry cleaning etc. I have my full license and my own car. Over the last few years I’ve worked in business management of hospitality companies. I believe this has increased my skills in numerous aspects that will translate back into working as a nanny.
