Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

My name is Inara and I am glad you’ve stopped by my profile! I grew up in Canada, where my love for childcare started early—I began babysitting neighbors and family friends when I was just 13. From the ages of 16 to 19, I took my passion to the next level by working at an overnight summer camp. Looking after groups of kids 24/7 was an incredible experience that taught me how to stay calm under pressure, handle any unexpected situation, and build an endless toolkit of fun, screen-free games! My Journey & Goals: Right now, I'm living in Melbourne and studying Biomedical Science at Monash University. My ultimate dream is to continue my studies post-grad to become a paediatrician. Because of my studies, child health, safety, and development are always top-of-mind for me when I'm looking after little ones. What You Can Expect From Me: High Energy: I love being active, playing backyard sports, and getting creative with arts and crafts. Homework Help: I'm always happy to help out with school tutoring or science projects. Peace of Mind: I am incredibly respectful of your family’s routines, boundaries, and household rules. I like to bring the perfect mix of structured camp counselor energy and warm, personalized care to every family I work with. I’d love to partner with you to support your family and keep your kids safe, happy, and entertained. I can’t wait to meet you and your little ones!

Marnie profile picture

Updated: 30 Jul 26

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hey families, My name is Marnie, and I'm 35, and I have over 19 years of experience in teaching, childcare and nannying and find these roles both professionally rewarding as well as consistent with my personal values. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Education (Primary), Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Certificate 3 in Children's Services. Over the past four years, I have been a classroom teacher at a primary school in Brighton East. My role as a teacher has encompassed various aspects of children’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Being a teacher is incredibly rewarding. Not only do you see students’ growth and progress academically, but you can build connections, make a meaningful difference and leave a long-lasting impact on these students' lives. I have a deep understanding of child development, learning styles, and age-appropriate activities. This knowledge allowed me to create engaging and educational experiences for children in my care. I have experience in managing various classrooms and working with diverse groups of students honing my ability to handle different behaviours and adapt to individual needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children I care for. But there is one thing I truly miss, caring for children in their home. Being that person in a household who is spreading kindness, care, and support. Before becoming a primary school teacher, I was a nanny. I have worked for several families within Australia and internationally (USA and Canada). My responsibilities included caring for newborn twins, and older children, following routines (including sleep patterns, feeding, and bathing), assisting with household cleaning, driving children to and from after-school activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining close communication with parents. Whilst I was studying for my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, where I was successful in gaining a scholarship through Swinburne University of Technology, to go to Vietnam. During this visit, I was volunteering in Hanoi, teaching English to prep-aged children. It was a fantastic experience and extended my childcare experience, as well as providing learning experiences in another culture, and participating in their usual day-to-day life activities. Prior to this experience, I was a nanny in America. This position involved living-in with a family in New Jersey, USA where I cared for their two children (girls now aged 4 and 8). Living full-time in the family house meant that it was important that my approach and behaviours aligned with the rules and principles of the family. I've also taken on additional roles working with children, such as a Ski Instructor at Mt Buller Ski Resort and an Assistant Educator at Explorer’s Early Learning Centre. These positions showcase my proficiency and professionalism in the field. I have a mature, responsible, and professional way of caring for children and I pride myself on creating a positive, happy environment in which children can thrive. As I'm a primary school teacher, I would not be able to start exactly at 3:30 pm, as that's when our school day ends. However, depending on where you're located, I could get there by 3:45-4:00 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We have meetings on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I wouldn't be able to start until 5:00 pm.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, I'm Ruby! After graduating with a Bachelor's in Screen & Media, I have since started a Certificate IV in Youth Work which I hope to conclude by the end of this year. This is an area of work that I've been particularly passionate about for quite some time. For the last few years I have been involved in array of volunteering programs across Victoria, all of which relate to youth empowerment. I am a regular Youth-Group Leader at SandyLife Baptist Church, and spent a year or so as a Mentor-Group Leader at their associated Flourish & Junior Leadership Program that focuses on supporting Year 6 & 7 girls through their transition into High School. I have also volunteered as a Holiday Camp Leader through CYC Ministries since 2021, building meaningful connections with campers between Years 3-12. Through these opportunities, I’ve had the privilege to engage with a diverse range of people, and it has encouraged me to think on my feet in fast-paced, unpredictable and sometimes challenging situations. I am dedicated to creating positive and supportive environments, that foster a sense of fun, creativity and personal growth for every kid! Additionally, I have spent several years working in hospitality and customer service, with the completion of necessary Barista, Food Handling/Allergen and First Aid/CPR training. I am also being a massive animal lover, having some experience with both dog-walking and petsitting (dogs and cats). In my personal time, I love exploring outdoors or letting my creativity shine, with a particular love of all things film, music and books. Looking forward to hearing from you! :)
