Hello, my name is Simone and I am 30 years old. I have extensive experience working with children, families, and individuals across the childcare, education, nannying, and NDIS sectors.
My career began in education and childcare, where I worked as a Coordinator for Before and After School Care and Holiday Programs (OSHC). In this role, I managed a team of 15 staff members and oversaw programs caring for 30-50 children daily. I was responsible for planning engaging and age appropriate activities, preparing healthy rotating menus, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and building strong relationships with both children and families.
I completed my Certificate III in Education Support in 2017 and have worked across multiple primary schools as an Integration Aide. Through these roles, I gained experience supporting children with a wide range of personalities, learning styles and needs, including both mainstream students and children with additional needs, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
Alongside my education experience, I have also worked as a nanny caring for children of varying ages, including children as young as 18 months old. In addition, I am a proud aunty to an 11 month old and a 3 year old, both of whom I have cared for regularly and have been very involved with since birth. Caring for young children has always been a natural and rewarding part of my life.
Over the past several years, I have also worked within the NDIS sector, where I developed strong experience supporting participants and families with diverse support needs. This background has strengthened my patience, communication skills, emotional awareness, behaviour management abilities and understanding of how to create calm, supportive, and engaging environments for children of all needs and abilities.
I pride myself on being warm, reliable, organised and approachable and I always aim to create a positive and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, cared for and encouraged to be themselves.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I look forward to meeting you and your family and becoming a positive and supportive part of your children’s lives.
