I am a 24 year old originally from the Sunshine Coast, currently living in Brisbane with my partner and have been working as an RN for the past year. I have always loved children and know from having 3 siblings how it can be growing up. I am very active and energetic and love spending time outside doing activities. I also just truly enjoy hearing about the world from a kids point of view. I’m taking a break from shift work for a little while and wanting to explore other interests while doing something I really love. I enjoy cooking and love baking, especially healthy, yummy meals and am happy to do general housework! I will be available from September 🙂

I am friendly and caring and interact well with children of all ages. I have a current First Aid Certificate, Blue Card (Working With Children Check), National Police Certificate and have had all my Covid vaccinations. I have two grown children of my own and 7 grandchildren (four of whom have special needs). I have these children in my care on a regular basis including overnight. I have experience with ADHD, ASD, GDD, ODD, Coeliac Disease, allergies and a number of other childhood troubles. I babysit on a part-time basis for families with up to 6 children. I have a lot of experience working with kids. I’ve been a babysitter for my bosses grandchildren for about 5 years now, and they are currently 3, 5 and 8. I have also nannied for a family with four kids but mainly looked after the toddler. I have also run many kids workshops, and used to work at a pool where I would instruct learn to swim lesson with the kids. I have previously done tutoring for primary school and high school aged children, and some of these children had autism and ADHD. I and I’m looking to get some full time or casual work, as I am having a gap year before I start my degree, so I’m looking to save up some money this year. I do play soccer at a high level which means I am not available Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday night. Soccer games vary between saturdays and sundays. I am a mother of twin 31 young women, I raised them by myself, with family support. However when it came to the decisions it was down to me.They have spread their wings and are no longer living with me. I very much miss being an "active mum", 30yos like to make their own way in the world. I very much enjoy spending time with young people and watching them grow.I am more than happy to support the parents with the way they discipline, I think open and honest communication is the only way to go. I have worked with several families, however these 3 have been the main ones. These families had very different needs, 2 families when needed the other Mon-Wednesday after school. I treat each child as individuals. I also worked for many years as a support and advocacy worker in the disability field. Both physical and mental health . This was a very challenging role which required lots of patience, caring and understanding. I can be very flexible and know the challenges of parenting and working. I don't cook, happy to reheat.
