Hello, Mums and Dads! First of all, I love arts and crafts (but also good at cleaning). I've gained valuable experience babysitting for a family in my townhouse complex and looking after my younger cousins -one 7 years younger and the other just 5 - while living with them. In our big family, I've learned patience, creativity, and responsibility when caring for children. I'm especially cautious due to my youngest cousin's heart condition, and the others dealing with severe ADHD and ADD. Growing up in such a diverse family has honed my ability to adapt and understand various needs. Being dyslexic, I've crafted unique teaching methods. Right now I am doing a Certificate III in Early Childhood and Care, I work 8 hours a week in a ChildCare centre "StoryHouse Early Learning Centre". I am a mother of twin 31 young women, I raised them by myself, with family support. However when it came to the decisions it was down to me.They have spread their wings and are no longer living with me. I very much miss being an "active mum", 30yos like to make their own way in the world. I very much enjoy spending time with young people and watching them grow.I am more than happy to support the parents with the way they discipline, I think open and honest communication is the only way to go. I have worked with several families, however these 3 have been the main ones. These families had very different needs, 2 families when needed the other Mon-Wednesday after school. I treat each child as individuals. I also worked for many years as a support and advocacy worker in the disability field. Both physical and mental health . This was a very challenging role which required lots of patience, caring and understanding. I can be very flexible and know the challenges of parenting and working. I don't cook, happy to reheat.
