Hi! My name is Mary-Jane (aka 'Mary Poppins' to my many families!)
(I am triple vaxxed)
I'm a mature but very young at heart!, caring, well-educated, fit and healthy nanny/babysitter with a lifetime of experience in child-care.
I have my own large family with 6 children and 7 grand-kiddies.
Now retired from my professional life, I'm looking for casual day and night babysitting including overnight stays. I have lots of love and attention for your little ones and will provide a safe and nurturing environment while they're in my care. I also have a love of assisting their learning and creativity through reading, music, craft and outdoor adventures. I have a current WWC check, a federal police check, senior first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and car licence. Most importantly I have lots of lovely parents who will provide glowing testimonials for me. If you think I might meet your childcare requirements ....let's chat.🙂
Hello! My name is Mathilde however I go by my nickname, Tilde. I have recently just graduated high school at St Joseph's College in Banora Point and I am 17 years old. I absolutely adore children and could be in their company for hours as I love looking after and playing with them. I honestly don't have too much experience with babysitting as I have only done it once for a family friend in the past but I feel as though I have very good communication skills when it comes to talking and interacting with young kids. Babysitting is the one thing I have always wanted to do so incredibly much mainly because I simply enjoy being in the company of kids and I cannot wait to have my own one day.

Hi, I’m Briana or ‘Bri’ as I'm often called
I am the first of four children, with the next eldest being 8 years younger than myself so I’ve informally been looking after children for a while and formally for approximately 6 years. I have experience with children aged 6 weeks old to teenagers and quickly adjust to the needs of any child.
Whilst working with children I’ve been in a wide variety of environments such as babysitting in the evenings for a family of 3 or running day programs throughout the school holidays for large groups of primary aged children. I also actively participate in a mentorship program through a school, mentoring students in years 9-12. I am also well versed in watching and engaging with children with various disabilities, with one of my siblings being Autisitc with ADHD as well.
I have just returned from working overseas in Canada both as a private nanny and as a staff member for a summer camp with children aged 7-18.
Prior to this i have been a nanny in Australia for various working families and spent 5 years working in a specialist children’s shoe store.
Within that company I would work directly with as many as 30 families in one day, adapting to the needs of each child to make sure they have the best experience possible with something that can often be scary, especially for younger children. The company also directly caters to children with extra needs so through this position I have also had lots of experience working with families and their children with disabilities.
I am not currently registered as an NDIS carer but am happy to organise that if it is something your family would require.
I love to read, sing and am super creative and though i'm not great at art I love to paint. I also love going to the theme parks and the beach and am always up for an adventure. I am super bubbly and always happy to have a chat. I am organised but also understand that with kids not everything follows a plan and am happy to ‘go with the flow’ if needed. I am also more than happy to accompany your family to events or holidays to ensure everyone can have fun but also rest when its needed.
I look forward to meeting you and working with your family.
Hi! I'm Libby! I'm originally from Tasmania but moved to the Gold Coast in February of 2023, as my boyfriend is an elite swimmer and is currently training for the Olympics. I am currently studying Paramedicine, meaning I have my First aid, CPR and Advanced Life support certificate, alongside a police check, working with children and vulnerable people card (blue card).
I've always felt a deep joy when working with children, their energy, curiosity and pure zest for life is infectious! Helping them learn, grow and navigate the world is incredibly rewarding. I find it's not just about teaching them, but it's also about learning from them. They teach me to stay open-minded, to be patient and to never lose my sense of fun! Working with children isn't just a job for me, it's a passion! I've had previous work experience working with children as a babysitter and dance teacher. As a dance teacher, I was able to share my passion and love for dance with students of all ages, and groups both large and small, including private sessions. It was amazing to see how much joy dance could create. I was able to witness their growth, not only in their technical skills but also their self-expression and confidence. It was truly rewarding to be a part of that journey. I am patient, empathetic, driven and committed to do my best.
I hope you allow me to be apart of your journey too :)

I have my own reliable 7 seater car and full license. I also have multiple different aged car seats installed, in my car to be used as needed. 2x rear or forward facing up to 4yrs and 2x 5 point harness / Booster seats for age 6m - 8+yrs.
All these seats are always washed and sanitised after every use and professionally cleaned monthly, Same with my entire car. A child’s Health and safety is always my number one priority as is my own.
I am fully Vaccinated against all childhood diseases and illnesses with 10 yearly Updates, including the now Covid 19 plus Boosters.
I love taking children that are in my care out on adventures and excursions. As I feel there is so much more for children to learn and develop while outdoors exploring their surroundings. Rather than spending large amounts of time indoors or on electronic devices.
Though this all Depends on the current weather of the day and age of the child in my care of course, but Nanny Barbs always has a plan B ready to go for unexpected weather days. I always bring along fun, educational craft, activities, and games. All age appropriate for children in my care. Many older Children always ask “ Nanny Barbs do you have your Special bag today”. As they know it’s full of educational yet fun games and things to work together on.
Whilst caring for children, health and safety is my number one priority, no matter where we go or what we do. One of the sayings I go by is “Your kids are my kids when in my care“. This means I will care for them, educate them, spoil them, love and respect them just as if their parents would as in the end I’m hired to be a reflection of you and lend a hand.
My hours are often flexible and are always molded differently to suit each family; as to me, each family is unique and operates in there own special ways. My babysitting hourly rate starts From $38/hr and My Nannying Hourly Rate starts from $40/hr (pending which of my services you choose from along with other aspects like How many children, public holidays, and more.) public Holiday rate start from $60/hr.
Though the services I provide in all categories are worth every cent and more than the hourly rate you’ll pay. I have many years of experience with children of all ages from 4 days old to 13yrs at all times of the day, whether it be mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, or even that extra pair of hands as you travel around the world, whether it be for business or personal travel. (I have traveled to many different destinations around the world many times before with many families, so my passport is in date and ready to go.)
Nanny Barbs isn’t only there to care for the children in her care. Yes, they are my utmost number one priority but in times when a child is within an independent safe activity (older children) or are sleeping. I don’t just sit around and wait. It’s just not me. You’ll notice on these days, you may have washing hung out or folded, dinner prepared or cooked, dishes attended to, can even help with small business family households with admin work, etc. Pretty much anything I see that needs to be done or you feel you need an extra pair of hands, I will attend to it, so long as your children are cared for first as they are the main priority of my job. There is no challenge too big or too small, I Nanny Barbs will give it her all to attend to it after ensuring your children are well looked after first.
Thank you in advance for taking the time in reading this, I hope it provides some answers to any questions you may have while you’re on the lookout for a reliable, Highly Qualified, trustworthy, honest nanny or babysitter.
I look forward to hopefully hearing from you soon.
Nanny Barbs 💕
