Hi! I'm Lauren I am a bilingual Canadian with extensive experience in childcare. My experience in childcare consists of babysitter/nanny, camp leader, skating instructor and tutor. I am on a career break, I have been a safety professional by trade for the last 10 years and have decided to return to nannying for a bit until I figure out what I want to do next.
I hold an Australian Drivers Licence, an Australian Positive Notice Blue Card & Disability Services Positive exemption notice card.
If you think I would be a good fit, send me a message and I’d be happy to discuss an arrangement that works for your family.
Experience:
— Casual babysitting for various families with children aged 3 months to 10yrs of age.
— Caring for 4 children aged, 10, 6, 2 and a 3 month old, 3-4 days a week. I had all 4 children prior to school and the 2yr old and baby for the day and then all again after school.
— Previous to the above I cared for 2 young energetic boys (aged 4&6) 4 days a week (full days; including school pickup/drop off, after school activities and outings). In this role I used the family car to drive the children around to and from activities.
— Caring for a new born baby for 3 months prior to the grandparents arrival from overseas to help the parents.
— Previous to my experience in Australia, I was an On-Call- Nanny with a Canadian Company called Nannies-on-Call, in the city of Toronto Ontario.
— Tutor for a non-profit organization, The Boys and Girls Club of Canada for 5 years.
Skills:
I am punctual, flexible and dedicated; making me an ideal candidate for busy parents looking for someone to care for their child(ren) and help out around the house.
I am comfortable doing light housework, driving children to and from activities/sports/school, preparing meals, doing activities with the children, and working for families with pets. I am fluent in both English & French, I can introduce children to the French language and/or help them improve and develop their English/French speaking abilities.
