Hello! I'm Kaelyn (18 years old), a first-year student at The University of Sydney, studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary). I view myself as a caring, patient, reliable, understanding, supportive, determined person with a 24/7 bubbly personality. Having experience of being a current swim teacher (since 2021), I am truly passionate about working with children of all ages, as I am able to demonstrate strong empathy and effectively communicate with kids, and their parents. Along with this, I have learnt to master the skills of organisation, multitasking and time management, whilst also understanding the positive power of displaying a friendly, inviting attitude.
I feel highly motivated to work and acquire experience in childcare, not only supervising and caring for children but also engaging and interacting with them. This can involve organising activities, playing games, as well as promoting learning and education (e.g. homework assistance). With that being said, I am also happy to assist in light household duties — anything to help out the family.
After completing my 4-year university degree, I hope to become a primary school teacher and I strongly believe that gaining experience in nannying/babysitting aligns with my future career aspiration. By becoming a part-time or casual nanny/babysitter, I can learn to improve my own abilities whilst also learning to develop other valuable skills, essential to becoming an amazing carer!
I have already had the pleasure of working as a unpaid babysitter/nanny for close relatives, family friends and neighbours, and found it to be a very rewarding experience. As a result, I am seeking more experience in the childcare field so that I can provide assistance to busy parents and families :)
**IMPORTANT NOTE** I am currently on university break until early August and therefore have much more free time throughout the week to help families out by taking care of their children! I am also happy to work during school holidays, if more assistance is required during that 2-week period.
Please feel free to contact me any time if you are interested and would like to discuss my qualifications further. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Kind regards, Kaelyn :)
