Hey, I'm Matt! I'm a warm, whimsical caregiver who mixes calm, creativity, and a bit of neurodivergent- and trauma-informed magic. I make safe, sparkling spaces where little ones feel understood, brave, and wonderfully themselves. I also have full insurance for extra peace of mind. I'm super passionate about going the extra mile and making things fun, like doing cool hairstyles or braids and letting kids get creative, or helping them with things they're interested in, whether it's personal goals, a sport, or other areas. I want them to feel confident in who they choose to be. Oh, and I love baking, so I'm happy to whip up some afternoon treats too!

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I am a mature French born women, have been in Australia for over 30 years (I have dual citizenship), and am back to Canberra. I first lived in Perth where I completed an ‘Introduction to Child Care’ Certificate. Then I moved to Canberra where I worked as a casual relief worker in different childcare centres including the Alkira Child Care Centre and the Australian Institute of Sport’s Child Care Centre (Caretaker’s Cottage). I also worked at the Montessori Pre-School and the French-Australian Pre-school. I stopped working with children when the French Embassy employed me for four years. Then I spent a lot of time around Sydney and did not work for a few years looking after my own daughter. When I decided to work again I found work with the Commonwealth bank. I learned a lot in those different roles but I was missing caring for children, I enjoy their innocence and bubbly joy. I have been working for different private families and especially for Dr Alison Salkeld (Fell) looking after her son, and then his little brother, for 7 years. Since being Penrith area, I worked for 2 years for a familly and did casual babysitting. I believe that over the years, experience as well as being a mother myself, has allowed me to develop more maturity and everywhere I worked I know that I have been appreciated for my qualities of reliability, honesty, integrity, diplomacy and patience. In short, I love to care for children (and people) and always make sure that they are well looked after in every way, i cherish their slower time/space, contact with Nature and encourage their natural abilities. I have a valid driving license and a car, a current First Aid Certificate and I am a non-smoker (also do not drink alcohol). I have a Working With Children check available., also, I am a French tutor, I worked for 2 years teaching French to pre-schoolers and I can assist older children with their French homework or any other homework.

Hi, I’m Sara! I’m currently a year 12 student graduating in Nov, and then commencing a bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education at UC next year. I’ve been a gymnastics coach for the last 3 years, where I am responsible for 6-10 children aged 4-12 years old. At this club, I’ve learnt how to interact and work with many different children, so would love to further develop my experience. I have volunteered at a local childcare for the last 1.5 years (during my school holidays), mostly working with children aged 5 weeks to 2 years. This has allowed me to learn further about children’s needs, and how to provide an enriching environment for them. I currently have a Working with Vulnerable People’s card, and am First Aid qualified. These accreditations are kept up to date to ensure that those I work with are safe. I am an athlete, so due to sporting commitments, I may be unavailable during some afternoons. If you have any questions or would like to book, feel free to reach out! (I typically only take bookings from those living in North/Central Canberra. For casual bookings, I include a travel fee of $5 per booking for those living 10km+ away from my suburb)

Looking for: Casual Babysitting

Hello! My name is Lucy. During the day, I'm a secondary school teacher/course coordinator at a private school in Canberra. On weekends and some weeknights I enjoy babysitting! I love nothing more than caring for babies, playing with them, putting them to sleep, taking them on adventures, exploring nature, and taking them through their sleep, eating, and hygiene routines. I grew up supporting my own mum when she had twins, to then babysitting her friends babies, and now my own friends and their babies. For the last year an a half, I've been working closely with two families supporting them when I have time away from teaching (weekends, school holidays, and some week nights). With one of these families, we have been doing elimination communication from the time the child was two months old, so I can help continue with the support of this and any potty training endeavours you may have. I am open to, and supportive of all styles of parenting and will always endeavour to fit myself to your styles, practices, routines and traditions. In addition to this, I know that encouraging family culture and faith can be very important to families, and I am open to learning about and supporting your families own culture and faith when engaging with your children. As a currently employed teacher, I am up to date with first aid for adults, children and infants, and have a current working with children check in both ACT and NSW. I have also completed training for anaphylaxis and use of epipens, mental health, child safety, mandatory reporting for child safety. I am open to discussing rates. They are set based on my experience, training, and qualifications.
