Hi! My name is Sarah and I have been babysitting/nanny since 2011. I absolutely love children! I currently work as an Emergency Nurse/Resuscitation Nurse with advanced first aid qualifications, peadiatric life-support, peadiatric medication administration, anaphylaxis/allergy and asthma training, working with vulnerable people check (ACT), working with children's check (NSW) and blue card (QLD). I have two tertiary degrees in Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Canberra, and a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Science at Macquarie University, completing numerous early childhood subjects in both degrees. I previously worked as a swim school teacher and lifeguard, and love being in the water! I am very enthusiastic and fun - I love art, science, outdoor playing, and cooking! In 2015, I worked with a family with two children between the ages of 5-8yrs in Sydney, I then worked with a family with two children between the ages of 3-6yrs old and another family with children 6yrs old and 8yrs old - I absolutely loved working with these families! I am responsible, mature and reliable. I am able to clean, cook, pickup/drop-off with my own car, undertake activities (science, cooking, games, water/outdoor play) and help with homework. I have my own car and I am a full-licenced driver, with no accidents in the 8 years that I have been a full-licenced driver. I live in the Tuggeranong Region in Canberra, but I am happy to travel around the Canberra region. Due to my shift-work as an Emergency Nurse, I am currently only able to look after children on a casual basis (ie. to give mum and dad a day or night out; looking after children at events such as weddings). Looking forward to hearing from you! Sarah

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello! My name's Ingrid. I'm a nanny and tutor with over 8 years of experience! At the moment (as of April 2022) I am looking for part-time work (max 25hrs/week) around Canberra. I've just started studying a Master of Social Work part-time. I do childcare as a passion - I love kids. I have a full, clean license and my own car, and two booster seats, each suitable for 4 years and up. There are three anchorpoints in the rear of my vehicle, suitable for childseats (I am happy to use yours!). I'm a massive sociology nerd and avid reader who will rant at length about the history of the bicycle if you give me the opportunity. I completed my honours year in 2019 studying the use of hashtags for reasons besides categorisation on the website Tumblr (sociology). I'm also a big fan of Doctor Who and fantasy/sci-fi - the sort of fan who'll ruin trivia nights. I don't drink or smoke, but I do have a (hypoallergenic, Russian Blue) cat so if you or your child have severe allergies please keep this in mind. I love to fill in time doing arts & crafts with kids, helping them with their homework (I've also been a tutor for 6 years!) or playing games. I really believe in incorporating learning into day-to-day life and I like to think the kids like it too! I have experience with kids aged 3 months - 15 years. References on request.
