We are looking for a warm, calm, reliable and experienced nanny to care for our son, who will be 12 months old when the role begins on 13 July.
Both parents work unpredictable hours. Our son will attend childcare during the day, and we need someone calm, capable and highly reliable to manage the afternoon/evening routine.
Location: Malvern area
Start date: Monday 13 July
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm–8:00pm
Minimum hours: minimum 16 guaranteed hours per week
Later finishes: Flexibility to stay later when required, usually with reasonable notice
Additional days: Occasional Friday and weekend shifts, when you are available by agreement
Pay: $40+ per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
• Pick up from childcare (around 4:00pm)
• Prepare and serve child’s dinner
• Assist with simple meal prep for parents (as needed)
• Manage bath and bedtime routine
• Clean up after meals
• Wash bottles and child-related items
• Light household support (e.g. hanging/folding washing, resetting baby areas)
Your background and experience
• Experience caring for babies/toddlers around 12 months old
• Current driver’s licence and reliable car (car seat can be provided)
• Comfortable driving a young child
• Working with Children Check
• First aid/CPR, ideally infant CPR
• Strong references from previous families
• Non-smoker
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently
• Comfortable with dinner, bath and bedtime routine
Leave and family holidays
Planned leave will generally be taken during periods when we are away. If we are away and do not require care, guaranteed minimum hours will continue to be paid. By separate agreement, there may also be opportunities to travel with us where childcare support is needed.
