Family support/carer

We are looking for a warm, patient and experienced family support carer for a private family in Balwyn North (open to live in)

The family has two children, aged 11 and 6. The 11-year-old is quite independent, while the 6-year-old has special needs and will be the primary focus of the role.

We are looking for someone who can build a genuine relationship with him, support his daily routines, engage him in activities and provide a calm, caring and consistent environment.

The role also includes preparing daily dinner, light cleaning/tidying, laundry, grocery shopping and helping keep the household organised while the children are at school.

This is primarily a childcare/family support role.

We are looking for someone warm, mature, proactive, discreet and reliable who is interested in becoming a trusted part of the household on a long-term basis.

Previous experience with special needs/additional needs is highly regarded. Working with Children Check, First Aid/CPR, driver's licence, references and appropriate Australian working rights are preferred.

Start date is flexible, we are ready anytime as current carer is retiring.

Car can be provided.
