We’re a busy, active, funny and honest family of 5 humans and 1 big dog. We are looking for an active, fun, reliable, tidy and responsible au pair, who has common sense and initiative, to join our household to help us keep the family running. The role involves at least 3 afternoons a week, of school pick up, homework, dinner, bath, bed, for 3 kids; and ad hoc help with housework. Au pair’s quarters are a separate granny flat, away from main house, lockable, with own bathroom. 10-12 hours work (open for negotiation) in return for board and utilities, and hourly rate for work in addition (there is at least an additional 7 hours). Would be great if au pair has own car (stipend for petrol / insurance can be discussed), but at the very least, au pair must drive as driving is required everyday. House located near main shopping and transport hub in Eastern suburbs, as well as parks.
Must provide CV and at least 2 referees able to talk to the parents by phone (Equally, our prior nannies would be happy to talk by phone to confirm we’re good people!). Children are VERY active and the family needs someone with great-happy-upbeat energy - love of soccer also a plus :-) Parents are very involved, so you won’t be “running the show” on your own - its mainly to fill a gap while parents work and help when kids’ activities are in different directions and more than one grown up needed.
