Carer/s required for two children in Abbotsford (just near The Carringbush Hotel).

Our 4 year old son will start special kindy 3 days a week in February. Our 7 year old daughter will start in grade 2 around the same time.

We need a carer or carers Monday to Friday during school terms and on school holidays. Hours will vary depending on whether the kids are at school/kindy.

At a minimum, there will be 3-hour shifts in the morning (approximately 7.30am to 10.30am) and 3-hour shifts in the afternoon/evening (3pm to 6pm) for three days during the week. For the remaining two days of the week, the preferred hours would be 8am to 5pm.

During school holidays both children may need care across longer daytime hours.

👶 About the Children

• Boy (almost 4): non-verbal autistic, gentle, affectionate, routine-oriented

• Girl (7): bright, verbal, independent, kind sibling

Our son is currently in a transition phase with care and kindergarten, so flexibility and calm confidence are essential.

🚗 Key Responsibilities

• Driving children to and from school and/or kindergarten

• Morning routine support (morning shift)

• Afternoon supervision, play, and wind-down (afternoon shift)

• Age-appropriate engagement and care

• Supporting transitions with patience and consistency

🧠 What We’re Looking For

• Someone local, preferably, who is happy to take our son out and to do the kindy/school drop offs/pick ups

• WWCC, first aid cert, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or higher similar accreditation)

• Calm, reliable, emotionally attuned

• Comfortable with non-verbal communication styles

• Confident driver with a safe driving record

• Nanny / education / disability support background welcome
