A Sydney-based family is seeking an experienced, highly organised and proactive Nanny / Family Assistant to join their household on a long-term basis.
The family has three school aged boys. The position combines hands-on childcare with family and household support. They are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children while also being confident taking initiative and helping manage the day-to-day requirements of a busy family.
Responsibilities will include:
* School and activity drop-offs and pick-ups
* Before and after-school care
* Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children
* Grocery shopping and household errands
* Keeping the children’s bedrooms, wardrobes and belongings organised
* Managing school uniforms, bags and sporting/activity requirements
* Assisting with appointments, activities and general family scheduling
* Light household organisation and tidying relating to the children
* Purchasing gifts, organising returns and completing family errands
* Communicating closely with the parents and other household staff to ensure the household runs smoothly
* Travelling with the family when required, including interstate and international travel
The family is looking for someone who is:
* Experienced as a nanny or family assistant within a private household
* Warm, calm and patient with children
* Highly organised, capable and naturally proactive
* Reliable, punctual and looking for a long-term position
* Confident managing multiple children and a busy family schedule
* Comfortable working independently and identifying what needs to be done without constant direction
* A clear and proactive communicator
* Flexible with hours when required
* Available and willing to travel with the family
* An Australian citizen or permanent resident
* A confident driver with a current driver’s licence — a car is provided for all work-related driving
* Holds a current Working With Children Check
* Able to provide excellent references from previous families
