We’re a family based in Redfern looking for a warm, engaged nanny/babysitter to help care for our son. He’s currently 6 months old and will be around 12 months old when the regular role begins in August.
I’m currently on parental leave, so for now we’re looking for ad-hoc babysitting, with the plan to move to a regular role of 3–5 days per week from mid-August when I return to work. Ideally we’re hoping to find someone who would like to be with our family long term.
About the role:
• Caring for for our son
• Being present and engaged -singing, reading, playing and supporting his development
• Taking him out to activities such as swimming lessons, baby sensory classes, and walks
• Preparing simple baby meals and light baby-related tidying
• Light household help such as folding laundry, unpacking the dishwasher, and general tidying
We do have a cleaner, so we’re just looking for someone happy to help with small day-to-day tasks rather than deep cleaning.
I’ll also be working from home some days, so I’ll occasionally be around the house.

I’m an IP lawyer and my husband runs a music company. We love travel and would ideally find someone who might be open to travelling with us from time to time. We’re a pretty relaxed household and enjoy things like games, trivia and music, and I also love Pilates & art.
I used to be a nanny myself for a number of years, so I really get what the job’s like. I know how much energy and care it takes, and how important it is to feel trusted and appreciated. We’re just looking for someone who’ll feel comfortable and part of the family.
