Seeking a nanny educator for our 2 year old girl and 6 month old boy, up to 2 days/16 hours a week based in Parkdale. We require care on a Monday (full day) but can be flexible as to exact hours and other days (eg 2 x half days, etc).
Our two year old has some medical issues (now well controlled) and developmental delay. She has the developmental age of around a 10-12 month old and is not yet walking or speaking but we hope she’ll continue to progress to reach these milestones. You will be a valued part of her learning and development journey. She is a happy, giggly, easy-going sweet girl who is a little bit shy initially but loves silly games, music and sensory play.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is physically able to do some manual handling (~15kgs lifting in and out of high chair, cot, etc)
- Is relaxed, playful, silly and has a strong grounding in early education and learning principles
- Has a drivers license (using our car)
- Is confident in first aid, has WWCC, police check and references
- Is willing to undergo additional training for a medical condition and in-case-of-emergency management (we will fund this)
- Will undertake light housework (tidying, folding laundry, child snack prep) at end of day or when time permits
Desirable: to be neuroaffirming and have knowledge of (or willing to learn) Key Word Signs
Start date: around September but we are willing to be flexible for the right fit for our family. Initially the 6 month old will need care for only some of the time but will build up to full days next year. We would love someone who can ideally commit 1 year or longer.
