We are a friendly family in St Leonards looking for a reliable and caring nanny for the month of July. We need support two days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11am–5pm).
About the role:
This is a short-term, casual position for July. We are looking for someone who is calm, attentive, and enjoys engaging with babies. During your shift, your time will be split between active childcare and light household support while I work from home.
Future Potential:
While this role is for July, we are very interested in finding the right person to join our family on a longer-term basis when we return from our overseas trip in early December. If we are a great fit for each other, there is a strong possibility of this becoming a recurring, long-term role upon our return.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare: Engaging in age-appropriate play, reading, feeding (milk/solids provided by me), nappy changes, and assisting with bath time routines.
Routine Support: Helping maintain our baby’s nap schedule.
Light Household Help: During nap times, we would appreciate help with light chores, such as folding baby laundry or basic kitchen tasks (e.g., dishes).
Outings: Occasionally accompanying us on local outings, such as walks or appointments.
Requirements:
Experience in infant care.
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
Reliable, punctual, and proactive.
