Hi there,
We’re looking for a warm and reliable person(s) to help with a bit of childcare and housework.
One parent works long hours, the other is away for 2 weeks of the month for work (FIFO), so we’re looking to help with the workload.
We have a 3.5yo son, and a 10 year old dog (whippet).
Jobs:
The idea is to help with the afternoon and evening shift: come around in the afternoon and assist with some housework (see below), walk the dog, then bring our son home from childcare, prepare dinner, some playtime with our son and put him to bed.
The housework component will depend on what needs to be done on day and can include:
Cleaning,
Dishes
Tidying up
Washing clothes, folding laundry,
Meal planning,
Cooking / meal prepping
We’ll provide a car for the childcare pickup.
Timing:
- 3 weekdays per week, flexible. We’re also happy to split this across multiple people, so don’t be afraid to get in touch if you can only do one day per week.
- 3pm - 9pm. Generally, the bedtime routine finishes at 9pm, so we’re after someone who can typically help at that time, however we’re open to discussing starting and finishing times.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is reliable and trustworthy
- Warm, and likes working with children
- Has a working with children check certificate,
- Has a drivers licence
- Likes dogs (our dog is harmless, but excitable)
- Has initiative; can notice what needs doing without being asked
If this sounds like something that would suit you, get in touch! We’d love to hear from you. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions!
*(It may take 3 - 5 days for us to respond to your application! Thanks!)
** I’ve put every day of the week into the profile to indicate our flexibility on the weekdays. To confirm, we are looking for 3 weekdays per week.
