We are a friendly family based in Miranda looking for a caring, reliable and experienced nanny to look after our son, Leo, who is almost 4 years old.
Hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 6 hours per day
Time: 8:00/8:30 am – 2:00/2:30 pm
Location: Miranda, NSW
Start: As soon as possible
Position: Regular, ongoing
Leo is an active, curious and affectionate little boy. He currently speaks Russian and understands very little English, so we are looking for someone who is patient and comfortable communicating with a child while he gradually becomes more familiar with English. Speaking Russian would be a wonderful bonus, but it is not essential.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and can become a consistent and trusted part of Leo’s routine.
The role would include:
* Playing and engaging with Leo at home
* Planning age-appropriate activities, crafts and games
* Preparing and serving simple meals and snacks for him
* Helping with his daily routine
* Keeping his play and eating areas tidy
* Encouraging independence, learning and development through play
We are looking for someone who is warm, patient, energetic and dependable. Reliability is particularly important to us as we are looking for regular Monday–Friday care rather than occasional babysitting.
Ideally, you will have previous experience caring for preschool-aged children, a current Working With Children Check, First Aid/CPR certification and references from previous families.
We are a relaxed, friendly family and want Leo to have someone he feels happy, comfortable and secure with. We would love to find a nanny who can build a genuine connection with him and make his days fun, engaging and enjoyable.
We also have a friendly young cat at home, so you will need to be comfortable around cats.
