Long Term Nanny position in Glen Iris

LONG-TERM NANNY WANTED – GLEN IRIS

We are a warm, professional family seeking one or two reliable and engaging nannies to help care for our two children, aged 4 and 8.

Our treasured previous nanny was with us for four years and is leaving due to changing life circumstances. We greatly value our nannies and hope to find someone who will become a trusted, long-term part of our family.

Location: Glen Iris

Pay: $38–$42 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Start date: Flexible

Hours required Monday–Friday:

• Mornings: 6:30–9:30 am

• Afternoons: 2:30–7:30 pm

• One nanny may cover all hours, or two nannies can share the role

• Applications for mornings only, afternoons only or selected days are very welcome

Morning duties:

• Preparing school lunches

• Helping the children get ready

• School drop-off approximately five minutes away

• Light child-related housework

Afternoon duties:

• School pick-up

• Engaging the children with reading, games, homework and age-appropriate activities

• Preparing a light dinner for the children

• Keeping children’s areas, school items and play spaces tidy

• Other reasonable child-related duties

We are looking for someone who:

• Is warm, dependable, proactive and genuinely enjoys spending time with children

• Has previous nanny, childcare or relevant family experience

• Holds a current Working With Children Check and Police Check

• Preferably holds—or is willing to obtain—current First Aid and CPR certification

• Preferably has a current driver’s licence and safe, reliable car

• Can provide recent references

• Is interested in a stable, long-term position

An education, early-childhood, nursing or other child-related background would be highly regarded, but we welcome all applicants with a genuine interest in helping children learn and thrive.

We are both medical professionals with early starts and late finishes, so reliability is particularly important.
